Ohio workers deserve more than nameless gray faces.

In two years, Sen. Jon Husted hasn’t cast a single vote in support of organized labor. He has also failed to co-sponsor key priorities for working families, including bills to restore bargaining rights for federal workers and to speed up first contracts for newly organized workers.

Even worse, he voted for the “Big Beautiful Bill,” which is projected to cost Ohio 51,000 jobs by 2029 and could leave 356,000 Ohioans without health coverage.

Sherrod Brown has a 100% lifetime score from the AFL-CIO. When it comes to working families, the choice is clear.

Thank you to Rep. Tristan Rader and Rep. Christine Cockley for introducing HB 1032 that would regulate how state agencies are allowed to use artificial intelligence. The bill is part of our ongoing work on safeguarding workers in the age of AI.

The bill requires more transparency on the use of AI at state agencies and restricts its use in certain circumstances, like determining eligibility for certain benefits. It would also identify ai-related job loss and make AI use a subject of bargaining for public employees.

If it wasn’t clear already: Northeast Ohio is union country, and Cleveland is a union town!

What an action-packed 48 hours! Last evening, we kicked things off with a performance by the Dropkick Murphys and speeches from AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler and AFT President Randi Weingarten at our rally for union candidates.

This morning, President Shuler, President Weingarten, and Amy Acton joined us to launch our canvass in Cleveland while others canvassed out of Willoughby—all before President Shuler spoke at this afternoon’s Brown/Acton/Obama rally!

Dr. Amy Acton has our back.

In every General Assembly since Senate Bill 5, anti-union lawmakers have tried to roll back bargaining rights—especially for public sector workers. Dr. Acton has pledged to combat those attacks and direct the Department of Commerce to strictly enforce labor laws so employers are held accountable.
