Many think of yoga, sound bath retreats, massages, and facials when they hear the term "wellness," which has been heavily commercialized. Although we do have space for yoga and oftentimes play therapeutic sounds or mindfulness programs in our clearing space, wellness by definition is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

Here at the Wellness Center at A Just Harvest, in collaboration with the A Just Harvest Community Kitchen, we strive daily to create a holistic wellness space for our community members of Rogers Park, paying special attention with care to our underserved, displaced, village-seeking community members.

Here at A Just Harvest, we provide holistic wellness through:

Physical - free access to exercise and activity, nutrition & sleep

Emotional—ability to successfully manage life’s pressures and adapt to change and tough circumstances through case management and mental health support and often times a listening and compassionate ear

Social—Family-style community interactions, nature spaces & integral communication development with others

Intellectual - Creative experience-based problem-solving - We come together to serve our brothers and sisters in community, helping to assist in climbing higher in our individual journeys.

Cultural—Welcoming diversity and creating spaces of inclusivity and representation

You can’t find this care and compassion anywhere else. We aren’t just passing out supplemental goods; we strive to ensure that every community member, despite their condition or level of transition, feels cared for by society as we aim to seed recognition of self-value and self-care into every person we interact with.

This is a vital pillar in our community, and we are in need of sponsors, donors, and partners to continue the work we love to do in serving our community.

FB Fam,

The silence is LOUD and the rent is past due.

The community is still being fed at the moment, thanks to many partners.

Tired of all the asks?

It's exhausting when you do the work our administration won't. And when they don't fund it.

Saying no one should go hungry in one of the premier cities of this country - yeah, we are tired of it, too, FB familia.

SO...tell us where should we cast our net? How do we cast wider and deeper? We'd love your wisdom.

You can't give? we get it!
Would you share with those who can? Post on your socials? Ask your network?

Cuz folx gotta eat.

At the Wellness Center of A Just Harvest, we open our space for the community to strengthen their minds, bodies, and spirits with our holistic approach rooted in self-care and development. When we work towards our health at an individual level, it has a ripple effect on our communities. How you use the space is not only beneficial to you but also to your community, whether it be a peaceful moment of calm and rest, a chance to nourish your body, relief through quality support, opportunities to shower and get a fresh outfit, and more. No person deserves to go about feeling alone and unsupported, and at A Just Harvest we strive to meet you where you are at and walk this journey with you towards wellness, safety, and personal development.

The Wellness Center at A Just Harvest wants to give a spotlight appreciation to New Life Centers non profit! Our day support program would not positively impact our community members we serve in the capacity it does without your sharing of resouces and quality delivery of goods. We are so grateful that you share in abundance to the Chicagoland community at large and A Just Harvest is so grateful to be a distribution partner. We love the new artwork on the delivery truck! From Rogers Park to Humbolt Park let the love for community continue to be the reason!

The Wellness Center at A Just Harvest provides showers, fresh clothing, toiletries, haircuts, diapers, menstrual pads, elder care supplies, and a place to rest and restore with support to keep our fight in the struggle strong until we overcome!

On July 13th 2026 we launched our newest resource, the wellness shower for public use from 10am-3pm (last shower at 2pm) on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday’s! Wednesday’s we wash our towels, wash cloths and blankets and we are looking for the support of our community to donate quarters for the laundromat as well as washing soap or powder.

From start to date we have had 17 community members use this resource.

With much gratitude,

The Wellness Center, 7637 N Paulina Mon-Fri 9am-4pm
