Story Sessions Open Mic is now at Peckish Pig, and we’re making it a monthly tradition on first Sundays now.

Join us every first SUNDAY at 6 PM [[NEW TIME]] for an evening of true, personal storytelling in an intimate room built for connection and community. Our next showcase is Sunday, June 7th at 6pm. Free, always.

We ask for true, personal stories, 7.5 min max
All names will be pulled from the bucket

The Peckish Pig will feature a special menu and drink offerings just for our gathering, and seating is limited to 50 guests, so arrive early to grab a spot and settle in.

Bring a story, bring a friend, or simply come ready to listen. New voices and first-time tellers are always welcome.

James Neary is a singer-songwriter that combines from-the-guts songwriting with soaring falsetto and passionate vocals. Since the release of his first solo album, '2013', James has gone on to open for the likes of Cracker, The Main Squeeze, Billy Strings, John Mayall, Neal Francis, and has even joined British rock superstars Muse on-stage for a performance of their hit song 'Plug In Baby'. With his former band, James Neary and the Bevy Blue, James released three color-themed EPs and toured throughout the Midwest. Now he’s taking to the road on his own, bringing his special blend of blues and indie rock with him.

Story Sessions is teaming up with our beloved Victoria Montalbano to bring you a show about what gets you, what can't you erase from your mind, what's your fixation? Three curated tellers will share their tales and then we'll turn to our fixated open mic-ers! All this at Story Sessions' fantastic new venue Peckish Pig (623 W Howard St) at 6pm. Let's get ready to donate to Victoria's summer fringe tour! Supporting local artists grows local arts

Are you nerdy, bookish, or otherwise obsessed? We like to turn our hyperfixations into art! Victoria’s hitting the road with two different nerdy one-person-shows, and she wants to hear about your obsession! Join Victoria and Story Sessions at the Peckish Pig to hear featured performers share stories about their hyperfixations. We’ll have open mic spots, games, and surprises! This event is Pay What You Can, with a $10 suggested donation. We’ll be accepting donations at the door. We’re raising funds for the Montalbano Summer 2026 tour and donations will go towards marketing and travel expenses. Can't make the show, but still want to help?
