⭐️ Calling young flutists ages 9-18: Registration is open for the NFA's Youth Flute Day!

🎶 Youth Flute Day is a one-day clinic designed for flutists ages 9-18. An offering of the NFA's 2026 Convention, participants will take part in fun activities and workshops designed especially for their young minds. All young flutists are invited, regardless of ability level!

🚨 Deadline tonight! This is your last chance to apply for financial assistance to attend the NFA Convention through our Registration Scholarship program.

🎟 These need-based scholarships (registration fee waivers) are available for anyone, of any age, profession, or ability level. Applicants will submit a short form demonstrating financial need and interest in the convention. Full and partial scholarships will be offered, and priority will be given to students and those who would be otherwise unable to attend the convention.

🎉 Please join us in welcoming our new Membership and Registration intern, Destina Sarussi! Throughout her internship, Destina will assist with various tasks relating to member outreach, member services, and convention preparation.

✨ Destina is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in flute performance at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign studying under Dr. Jonathan Keeble. With a passion for both performance and arts administration, Destina strives to not only excel on stage, but actively shape the future of the arts through education, outreach, and innovative communication. She is the 2026 Luminarts Cultural Foundation Classical Winds Fellow as well as a prize winner of the University of Illinois Concerto Competition, National Flute Association High School Soloist Competition, Donald Peck International Flute Competition, Wisconsin Flute Festival Young Artist Competition, Southwest Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, Chicago Flute Club Student Competition, and Musicians Club of Women Instrumental Competition. Destina also serves as an Orchestral Operations Intern with the DuPage Symphony Orchestra and manages the University of Illinois Bands and Orchestras social media. She previously served as Principal Flute of the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra and Wheaton Municipal Band.

📢 The NFA is hiring Registration Assistants to assist with the onsite registration of presenters, performers, exhibitors and attendees at the 54th Annual NFA Convention in Portland, OR.

🤝 Registration Assistants will work directly with the NFA Membership Manager to ensure a smooth registration process for all those participating in the convention. This is a paid, hourly position.
