AIDS Foundation Chicago Associate Board

AFC Communications is not supported by federal funds. Members of the Associate Board support AFC's overall mission and activities by acting as ambassadors

Young adults are disproportionately impacted by HIV/AIDS. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate that as many as half of all new HIV infections in the U.S. occur among those less than 25 years in age. As a result, the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) has formed a Junior Board to engage young adults in the fight against the epidemic.

Thank you to everyone that helped make The 2026 RED Party a success!

We raised over $9,000 that directly supports ! These dollars will help support the life-changing work of AIDS Foundation Chicago. In 2025, AFC served 8,247 people living with HIV through case management, housing, emergency financial assistance, and food support.

Special thanks to the talented and for their electrifying performances! Thank you for hosting the event and for the delicious food.

Members of the AB attended 2026 World of Chocolate event. It was packed full of community members, chocolatiers, and volunteers; all advocates fighting to end the HIV epidemic. The sweet event helped to raise over $250,000 to provide vital services to people living with and vulnerable to HIV/AIDS.

Recently, members of the AB went shopping to make a meaningful impact for families across Chicago. Through partnership with , we assembled 45 full Thanksgiving meals for individuals and families.

From gathering ingredients to handwriting cards filled with warmth, everyone showed up with heart.

A giant ‘Thank you’ to everyone who supported the Red Party 2025! The AB would especially like to thank our hosts , for the delicious food, the incomparable and the fantastic for their stunning performances.
believes that housing is health care and that every person has the right to safe and decent housing. AFC provides housing for more than 2,499 individuals each year. The AFC Housing team leads strategies to increase the availability of affordable housing for low-income people with HIV or chronic conditions while supporting improved health outcomes for residents.
