Comprised of 41 Catholic, career focused, college prep schools, the Cristo Rey Network delivers an innovative approach to education that equips students from families of limited economic means with the knowledge and skills to achieve their aspirations. Through our distinctive Corporate Work Study Program, the Cristo Rey movement is a national leader in building a pipeline of diverse talent and pre

paring youth for the demands of the growing knowledge economy. A team of four students shares one job at a professional business, allowing students to earn the majority of their private secondary education tuition, while gaining real-world work experience and developing habits, mindsets, and skills which complement classroom learning. Student workers are employed in fields of Accounting, Communications, Engineering, Human Resources, Legal, Medical, and Tax Services and perform a wide range of responsibilities on the job, such as data entry, Spanish-English translation services, IT support, and computer-based tasks.

Today, the first Thursday in May, we pause to observe National Day of Prayer. Prayer is at the heart of the Cristo Rey mission. It grounds our work and centers our purpose.

Today, we pray for our Cristo Rey family: for our schools and the communities they serve; for our leaders and educators, who show up every day with purpose; for our students, full of potential and promise; for our alumni, who carry the mission forward; for our supporters, whose belief in the Cristo Rey movement makes it all possible; and for anyone who has ever believed that education can change lives.
