They're here! Our 2026 interns arrived in San José and are ready for three weeks of service in . From literacy support to one-on-one tutoring, they'll be pouring into the lives of children who need extra encouragement and educational support. We are excited to see what God will do through them! Meet the players who are working to strengthen systems and processes that aim to prevent and reduce su***de cases in Zambia.

Recently CoLaborers Zambia joined with other organizations to create the Su***de Prevention Alliance. This group will be supporting the development and implementation of the Ministry of Health's National Su***de Prevention Strategy.

CoLaborers is committed to working alongside leaders in Zambia to address this growing health crisis.

We've been serving alongside locally-led efforts in Zambia, Costa Rica, and Kenya for 19 years reaching impoverished communities in areas of education, nutrition, drug/alcohol counseling, and youth/children initiatives. Earlier this year, we were privileged to conduct outreach visits to children at Lushomo Happy House in Mulalika Village and women inmates at Chainama East Correctional Facility. Though the settings were different, one truth remained the same: when you meet people where they are without judgment to provide avenues of emotional expression - lives are touched spiritually, mentally, and socially.

From joyful laughter in the village to powerful testimonies behind correctional walls, seeds of hope and transformation were planted through the use of our Literacy-Free 12 Step Expressive Arts Therapy. We trust these seeds will continue to grow and bear lasting fruit.

Before they were changing lives in Las Gradas, the staff of CoLaborers Costa Rica were little kids with big dreams. Now, those dreams are helping create opportunities, build community, and empower the incredible youth of Las Gradas to dream big, too.

Our recent trip to Mpongwe was a meaningful reminder of the impact child sponsorship can make. We visited schools, delivered supplies to sponsored children, and witnessed both encouraging progress and ongoing challenges facing families in the community.

One mother shared how difficult it would have been to prepare her child for school alone during these tough economic times, serving as a powerful reminder of why this work matters.

It's the national day of prayer. Hmmmm. Some will co-op this moment for show and pretense, the antithesis of what it is to be about. Some will quietly dig into a unified moment with others that is an extension of their prayerful everyday.

I can't say this enough, there are many aspects of the spiritual life that must stay private and personal so it doesn't lose its genuineness. So you can hear the voice of God above the voice of people proclaiming to speak in God's name. And still there is a place for being with others to encourage each other and remove shame in prayer as well

The whole of Matthew 6 is a good guide / internal litmus test for motive in your prayer life, as well as in your service, in your giving, and in your view of others. It is a passage I turn to again and again - https://buff.ly/LsdIdBW

It's all the same as now. Don't trade optics for intimacy. Don't miss what really matters, that secret, private relationship between just you and God. The kind of "thoughts and prayers" that actually changes things as He opens your mind and understanding and keeps your heart compassionate and gives you guidance for how to uplift others.
