Join our Women's Support Group, meeting every second and fourth Saturday from 2:00–3:00 PM.

This is a welcoming space where immigrant women come together to share experiences, support one another, build meaningful connections, and grow in community.

No matter where you are in your journey, we want you to know that there is hope—and your dreams are still possible in a new country. With encouragement, resources, and the support of other women, you can continue building the future you envision.

Applications are now open for our Language & Community Integration Support AmeriCorps position!

Join International House for a year of meaningful service, professional growth, and community impact. As an AmeriCorps member, you'll help support language access and community integration while gaining valuable experience serving individuals and families from around the world.

Through this Language & Community Integration Support position, an AmeriCorps Volunteer will serve with International House during the 2026–27 program year (September 8, 2026 – August 31, 2027), gaining valuable experience while making a meaningful impact.

What is AmeriCorps? AmeriCorps is a one-year commitment to community service where members serve, learn, earn a modest monthly stipend, and receive an education award upon successfully completing their service term.

We also welcome all women to this open storytelling session, regardless of background, where anyone who feels comfortable is invited to share their personal journey, professional story, experiences. All stories are welcome, and this space is meant to honor every woman’s voice and lived experience. We believe that storytelling is part of the healing process and that it also empowers other women.

Due Date for Call for Artists Extended! There is still space available for your work!

Please submit your proposal by Sunday, July 19, at Noon.

Queen City Art and International House invite immigrant and refugee artists living in the Charlotte region to apply for The Journey, an exhibition exploring the experiences, stories, and perspectives of those who have made the United States their home.

This project focuses on the use of visual arts to illustrate the harrowing, complicated, and hope-filled journeys our immigrant and refugee neighbors take to come to the United States. Through painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, fiber art, mixed media, and other visual art forms, artists are encouraged to share personal stories of migration, identity, belonging, cultural heritage, resilience, adaptation, and community.

Selected artists will receive a $150 stipend to create a new artwork inspired by their own journey, heritage, experiences, or reflections on immigration and cultural identity.

Submit your proposal today and help bring these important stories to life.
