⚠️ SCAM ALERT ⚠️

We have been informed that individuals may be receiving phone calls from someone claiming to represent a firefighter association and requesting donations for Camp Celebrate.

If you receive a call requesting a donation, please do not provide payment or personal information until you have verified the fundraiser. Hang up and contact the firefighter association directly using a phone number found on its official website or social media page, rather than a number provided by the caller.

Firefighter associations and fire departments are valued supporters of our programs and may organize legitimate fundraising events throughout the year. However, unsolicited phone requests are not a typical donation route for Camp Celebrate or the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center.

Thank you for helping us protect our community and ensure donations reach the intended program!

NC OSFM has shared a message to fire departments so we can get it out to our communities. Please be aware of the danger that comes with fireworks and that includes sparklers. Please see the below message.

"This week we premiered a powerful documentary featuring Ginger Peters, whose life was forever changed by a sparkler injury. Her story is a powerful reminder that sparklers burn at more than 2,000 degrees and can cause devastating injuries in seconds.

Please help us protect North Carolina families by sharing the video and our sparkler safety message on your department's social media channels this weekend.

A single share could prevent a life-changing injury.

Thank you for your continued partnership and for all you do to keep North Carolina safe.

Friday night was just the beginning...thanks to everyone that joined us for the debut of "False Alarm" Brew at NoDa Brewing Company! Meet Rebecca, the brew master behind this fabulous concoction! She kept seeing Old No. 7; Charlotte Fire Department respond to the brewery due to false alarms, so she created this brew to support Firefighters' Burned Children Fund (Charlotte-Mecklenburg County Chapter) and NC Firefighters Burned Childrens' Fund. Stop by the 32nd St location to have a taste!
