Charlotte Rescue Mission x Carolina Ascent September 2026! ⚽❤️

The Charlotte Rescue Mission and Carolina Ascent FC team recently collaborated together for the ultimate community partnership.

The ladies at Dove's Nest, including some of our staff, attended an Ascent game to cheer on the team, making for a fun night out!

Then, Carolina Ascent visited campus to learn and serve! 🙌

A special thank you to Chef Chayil from Community Matters Cafe and Sheri, our Food Service Manager at Dove’s Nest, for leading a nutrition class and giving Charlotte Ascent a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to nourish our residents each day. 🍎🥕

This is exactly what the community needs, showing up for each other!

How great is our God! 🙌

17 men at Rebound publicly declared their faith through the gift of baptism. We are so grateful to Freedom House Church for pouring compassion and love into these men as they seek a new way of life.

Many of the men and women who come to Charlotte Rescue Mission have never encountered the love of Christ. Throughout our 120-day core program, residents are introduced to faith through Christ-centered care and given the opportunity to grow in their relationship with God.

For many, that relationship becomes an important part of the life they are building in recovery.

Baptisms are beautiful to witness. 💙

“Jesus answered and said to her, ‘Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again; but whoever drinks the water I give will never thirst; the water I shall give will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.’” John 4:13-14

September is National Recovery Month! 💜

Recovery is an important step in someone’s life as they seek a life transformation. When someone chooses recovery, they are saying yes to leaving the past behind but also saying yes to building a future in their recovery journey.

Recovery takes resilience, courage, and a willingness to ask for help. It can mean rekindling relationships, discovering purpose, and becoming who God intended them to be.

This National Recovery Month, we recognize and celebrate everyone on their recovery journey. 💜

CHARLOTTE RESCUE MISSION 12TH ANNUAL GOLF CLASSIC!⛳️

The scorecards are in. The impact is just beginning. We raised over $100,000 (which is equivalent to the cost of putting 28 individuals through our core programming!), which will directly fund our Recovery Living Program at the mission.

Recovery Living is the aftercare program opportunity for graduates which provides personal growth, skill-building, and independence throughout their recovery journey.

We thank every team and individual that participated in this special day! You are transforming lives and making recovery possible.

We want to give a special shoutout to our presenting sponsors Cargill and Mike Kodweis! Your compassion and generosity will go a long way in the life transformation of individuals seeking recovery and a new way of life!
