BikeFEST is a bike and pedestrian themed block party that encourages the public to enjoy playing in the streets and meeting fellow neighbors! Six blocks of Thomas Ave in Plaza Midwood will be closed to allow a safe environment for scavenger hunts, cycling, skating, a bike rodeo and a bike parade! The goal is to celebrate public spaces and make the public realize that the streets are not just for cars! Come enjoy this open street festival in Plaza Midwood! Events include Bike Drive for Trips for Kids Charlotte – donate your dusty (not rusty) bike, a Kids Bicycle Safety Rodeo, Cargo Challenge, Bike Wash and L**e Station, Flat Tire Challenge, music, food, kids crafts and activities.

Kids Bike and Pet Parade will meet at The Vine (formerly Kilgo Church) at 12:30 PM and depart at at 12:45 PM.
