And that’s a wrap on Learning Lab #7! 🥹 It feels fitting that seven is often a number of completion, because after two years of being so graciously hosted in spaces across Charleston, the next time we gather for a Learning Lab will be in our very own Shared City home! We are looking forward to a space built for nonprofit leaders (and all those doing good) to learn, connect, and cross paths with the people and resources that can strengthen their work.

Sometimes wanting to grow isn’t enough. We need people in our lives who can help us see what we can’t see on our own.

In this Shared Seat, Pastor Will Plonk shares a realization he had while leading cross-culturally: while he deeply valued cultural growth, the people mentoring and shaping him largely shared the same cultural perspective.

Will shares how seeking diverse mentorship helped him navigate the hard parts of cross-cultural leadership, recognize blind spots, and keep growing along the way.

Because being a lifelong learner sometimes means asking: Who am I learning from and whose perspective might I be missing?
