Crisis Chaplaincy

Crisis Chaplaincy The Crisis Chaplaincy is a mission of Light + Hope, providing comprehensive chaplaincy care to first responders, survivors, and the community.

The mission of the Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy is to be a light in the depth of pain and a hope in the day to day for first responders, individuals, and the community. We assist the Coroner in notifying individuals who have lost a family member in an unexpected manner, assist the Mobile Crisis Unit and SWAT teams in hostage negotiations and other local emergency situations; and to provide follow-up visitations in the home or in the hospital for victims of crimes and their families!

Day One of our Critical Stress Management Class!

Today, chaplains and first responders came together to learn, serve, and strengthen one another. From participating in the classroom, every moment reflected teamwork, compassion, and a shared commitment to caring for those who face difficult situations.

We are grateful to Rev. Rich Robinson for leading this important training and sharing his knowledge and experience. Equipping those who serve on the front lines helps us provide better care to our communities—and to one another.

What a positive and meaningful first day!

SERVING OUR COMMUNITY đź’™

Chaplaincy is more than responding to a crisis—it’s about building relationships, creating bridges, and being present in our community.

Working alongside law enforcement, first responders, families, and our young people, we have the opportunity to serve, encourage, and make a difference one person at a time.

When we serve together, we strengthen our community together.

🙏 Serving with purpose. Building bridges. Making an impact.

We were honored to attend the International Conference of Police Chaplains (ICPC) Annual Training Seminar in Spokane, Washington, last week.

Chaplain Rich had the privilege of teaching the ICPC Basic Curriculum on Death Notification, as well as Crisis Chaplaincy’s Crisis Intervention Care class.

What an incredible opportunity to learn, connect, and grow together as chaplains. We are grateful for the wisdom and experience shared by so many.
