South Carolina residents here is an easy way to support affordable spay and neuter programs in our state.

🐾🚨 SOUTH CAROLINA NEEDS TO MARKET THIS LICENSE PLATE! MORE AWARENESS = MORE SPAYING & NEUTERING = FEWER HOMELESS PETS!

Did you know South Carolina offers a “No More Homeless Pets” specialty license plate that helps fund spay/neuter programs?

The plate costs an additional $70 every two years, with proceeds supporting spay/neuter efforts after applicable administrative expenses.

BUT HOW MANY SOUTH CAROLINIANS EVEN KNOW THIS PLATE EXISTS?

We have an animal overpopulation crisis. Shelters are overcrowded, rescues are overwhelmed, and healthy, adoptable dogs and cats are being euthanized because there simply aren’t enough homes.

We need a STATEWIDE MARKETING CAMPAIGN!

🐾 Every animal shelter and rescue should promote this plate.

🐾 Veterinary offices should display posters and purchase information.

🐾 Car dealerships should inform customers about this option.

🐾 The DMV should promote it during vehicle registration and renewals.

🐾 Local television stations, newspapers, and radio should help spread awareness.

🐾 Businesses should sponsor advertising campaigns to increase participation.

🐾 The state should publish how much money is raised, which counties receive funding, and how many animals are spayed and neutered.

Imagine if 10,000 South Carolinians purchased this plate. That could generate $700,000 in gross specialty plate fees over a two-year cycle!

We cannot keep relying on overcrowded shelters and exhausted rescue volunteers to solve a problem that must be addressed through prevention.

SPAYING AND NEUTERING IS THE SOLUTION. FUNDING IS ESSENTIAL. MARKETING CAN HELP MAKE IT HAPPEN!

I’m calling on the South Carolina DMV, Department of Agriculture, SCACCA, animal welfare organizations, and business leaders to work together to promote this program.

💗🐾 A Little Update on Our Sweet Dutchess 🐾💗

Our precious Dutchess is still fighting her battle against aggressive mast cell cancer, but she’s making the most of her days surrounded by so much love, comfort, and a whole lot of spoiling.

Her foster mom and everyone on "Team Dutchess" is making sure this sweet girl gets to enjoy all her favorite things, because the little moments are sometimes the biggest blessings.

From daily car rides and leisurely walks to explore the world and enjoy the fresh air, to tasty treats like plain cheeseburgers, French fries, and pup cups, Dutchess is being reminded every day just how special she is. 🍔🍟☕ And one of the sweetest parts of her day? “Coffee and Conversation with Dutchess” — her morning cuddle time with her foster mom, sharing quiet moments and all the love in the world. 💗

We wish we could take this awful disease away from her. Until then, we’ll keep filling her days with her favorite things, warm cuddles, happy adventures, yummy treats, and all the love her beautiful heart can hold.

Thank you to everyone who loves Dutchess and continues to cheer her on. Every moment with her is precious, and we’re determined to make those moments as happy and meaningful as possible. She may be fighting a tough battle, but she will never have to fight it without love.

Keep soaking up the good stuff, sweet Dutchess. You are so loved! 💕

🐾 Quiet on social media, but still busy making a difference! ❤️

Even though No Trouble At All Animal Outreach has been a little quiet on Facebook lately, that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy helping animals and the people who care about them in our community!

Recently, we were able to provide financial assistance for sweet Mr. Boots, a kitten who needed a neuter surgery and vaccinations, and Percy, a stray who was found by a compassionate family wanting to give him the care he deserves. Our support helped Percy receive much-needed bloodwork and veterinary care.

Every animal deserves a chance to be healthy, safe, and loved. We’re grateful to be able to help families and compassionate finders who step up for animals in need.

Thank you to everyone who supports our mission and makes this work possible. Even when we’re quiet online, our hearts and hands are still busy helping animals—one at a time. 🐾💕

🐾 RABIES VACCINATIONS SAVE LIVES 🐾

South Carolina law requires dogs, cats, and other applicable pets to be vaccinated against rabies. Under South Carolina Animal Law §47-5-60, pets must be inoculated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian using a vaccine approved by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Rabies is fatal but preventable, and vaccination helps protect our pets, families, and communities. ❤️

To help make sure more local pets are protected, No Trouble At All Animal Outreach is teaming up with Island Pet Urgent Care on Johns Island to offer FREE rabies vaccines to the first 15 pet owners on:

Eligibility: Residents of James Island, Johns Island, and Wadmalaw Island only.

🐾 ANIMAL WELFARE SHOULD MATTER AT THE BALLOT BOX 🐾

Election season is here in South Carolina, and voters will soon be making decisions that affect our communities — from the State House to local government.

Animal welfare is an important part of those decisions.

The people we elect have the ability to influence laws, funding, enforcement, animal control, public safety, and protections for animals across our state and in our communities.

So before you vote, ask the candidates where they stand on animal welfare.

Ask them:

🐶 Do they support stronger laws to protect animals from cruelty and neglect?

🐱 Do they support meaningful enforcement of existing animal protection laws?

🐾 Will they work to address irresponsible breeding and help reduce the number of unwanted animals entering shelters?

🚨 Will they support reasonable tethering standards and other basic humane care requirements?

🏛️ Will they support stronger statewide animal welfare protections and resources for local enforcement?

And most importantly:

Will they make animal welfare a priority when they have the opportunity to make decisions that affect our animals and our communities?

Don't assume you know a candidate's position based on their party, campaign slogans, or endorsements.

Ask. Listen. Research. Then make your own informed decision.

Every election matters — including the races closest to home.

Rabies is a deadly viral disease that affects the nervous system and can spread from infected animals to people through bites or scratches. Once symptoms appear, rabies is almost always fatal — but vaccination can prevent it.

That’s why No Trouble At All Animal Outreach is partnering with Island Pet Urgent Care to help local lowcountry families keep their pets protected. ❤️
