We truly appreciate everyone who has expressed concern for Dutchess. Her last post garnered over 430 comments and was shared almost 1.5k times! Dutchess has a very aggressive mast cell tumor on her eye which has already spread to her lymph nodes. She is receiving oral chemotherapy to try and shrink the tumor and slow down the spread. Yes, the tumor looks nasty, but it actually looks better than it did. Dutchess previously lived outside full-time her entire 8.5 years of life before coming to live with her foster mom in her garage. We know a garage is not a perfect situation, but she has cooling fans, cooling pads, clean, cold water and great food with plenty of love, attention and treats. She goes on daily walks and car rides that she absolutely loves. Dutchess doesn't act like she is sick and we are closely watching her and will not let her suffer when she starts acting differently. Surgery is not an option due to several concerns, but she is receiving excellent care with an oncologist. Dutchess is not available for adoption and she needs to stay in the Charleston, SC area. Her foster mom loves her very much and has even threatened to trade in her 3 dogs for Dutchess! Just kidding!! Right now we are in need of a temporary foster from September 9-25 in Charleston, SC who does not have any other pets and there are no small children in the home. The reason for this is simply because Dutchess hasn't been socialized with other animals or exposed to children. Our goal is to keep her comfortable, safe and stress free along with being spoiled rotten with lots of love! If you can help please let us know. Thank you.

🐾 SPAY & NEUTER: IT’S ABOUT MORE THAN PREVENTING LITTERS. 🐾

Spaying and neutering our pets is one of the most important things we can do for their health, their future, and the animals already waiting for homes.

❤️ There are important medical benefits, too. Spaying can greatly reduce the risk of serious reproductive infections and eliminates the risk of uterine infections such as pyometra. It also significantly reduces the risk of mammary tumors when performed at an appropriate age. Neutering eliminates the risk of testicular cancer and can reduce certain reproductive and behavioral problems.

🐶🐱 And just as importantly, spay and neuter helps prevent unwanted litters from being born. Every year, shelters and rescues are overwhelmed with puppies and kittens who need homes. Preventing unplanned litters helps reduce shelter overcrowding and gives the animals already here a better chance at finding loving homes.

We also understand that the cost of spay and neuter can be a real barrier for families. We don't want finances to be the reason an unwanted litter is born.

💗 DUTCHESS IS STILL WAITING FOR HER SOFT PLACE TO LAND. 💗

Hi, it’s me, Dutchess. 🐾 I’m just popping in to remind everyone that I’m still hoping someone will open their home — and their heart — to me.

I’m looking for a loving foster home in the Charleston, SC area, even if it’s only temporary. My current foster mom has some upcoming travel, and I desperately need somewhere safe and comfortable to stay during September 9–25.

But honestly… I would love for that temporary stay to become so much more. ❤️

I’m about 8½ years old, and I was recently diagnosed with aggressive mast cell cancer. My prognosis is guarded, and while my future may be uncertain, one thing is certain: I deserve to know what it feels like to be truly loved and comfortable.

For most of my life, I lived outside. Right now, I’m staying in my best friend’s garage with cooling fans, cooling pads, and plenty of fresh, cold water. It’s so much better than being outside, but it still isn’t the soft, cozy home I dream about.

And I have SO much love to give. 🥹💕

✨ I absolutely love being loved on.
✨ I’m eager to meet people — although hats and sunglasses are suspicious! 😂
✨ I walk beautifully on a leash and enjoy short walks.
✨ I’m a perfect car rider! 🚗
✨ I am VERY treat motivated. (I’ve never met a treat I didn’t love!)
✨ I’m a quick learner and have made great progress with potty training.
✨ I’ve walked with another dog, but I’d probably do best as the only dog or with a separate space from other pets.
✨ I haven’t been around children much, so an adult home would likely be best.

I don’t need a perfect home.

I just need someone willing to see past my age and diagnosis and recognize the magical girl underneath it all. ✨

Someone who will give me a soft bed.
Someone who will scratch my ears.
Someone who will take me on little walks and give me treats.
Someone who will let me feel safe.
Someone who will remind me that my life matters.

It takes community to support families and their communities pets. The Lowcountry community always steps up when needed.

💕 Terrylynn Shipley is a shelter volunteer extraordinaire. She spends a lot of her time at Charleston Animal Society’s Berkeley Campus, but that doesn’t stop her from fundraising and receiving donations for other shelters and organizations like ours.

💕 A lemonade stand may be the first time kids learn business and customer service skills. Kelly Boulware’s grandchildren not only learned those skills, but they donated $600 to us!

💕Sunrise Bistro donated a couple hundred bucks which helped restock on medical and pantry supplies.

💕 A big thank you to everyone for their pet food donations to restock our pet food pantry.

Hawk and June looked a little confused when we told them that No "Trouble" At All Animal Outreach is running low on dog and cat food donations that are given to pets in need. They live the life of luxury with our president and have never missed a meal or tasty treat. Hawk and June want the same for other dogs living in our community, but they knows not all are as fortunate as they are. Are you able to help restock our pet food pantry? We are especially in need of 18 and 30 lbs bags of the Pedigree dry dog food as well as 9 Lives dry and wet cat food. Items are available through Chewy or Amazon.

Dutchess is living with a sizable tumor on her eye and is under the care of a local oncologist to give her a little more time.

We’re looking for a short or long-term medical foster or a rescue that has a medical foster available.

No “Trouble” At All Animal Outreach will continue to fund all of her medical care and daily divining needs.

We just need someone who is willing to offer up some space in their home for this precious girl.
