The West Virginia Citizens Defense League (WVCDL), West Virginia’s largest pro-gun lobbying group, is a non-partisan, non-profit, all-volunteer, grassroots organization of concerned West Virginians who support our individual right to keep and bear arms for defense of self, family, home and state, and for lawful hunting and recreational use, as guaranteed by Article III, §22 of the WestVirginia Constitution and the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States.
WVCDL was created to fill a void left by the lack of a state-level organization in West Virginia lobbying the Legislature on behalf of our interests as law-abiding gun owners and exists to protect and restore the right to keep and bear arms in West Virginia through legislative action.
It is a place to discuss WV specific fi****ms, hunting, and self defense law and policy.
It is the "front office" of the WVCDL
A place to behave courteously and professionally. (Even if that sometimes means being very direct.)
A place where political party doesn't matter, and the issue does.
The page for the most effective civil rights organization in WV.
What it is not:
A place for the encouragement of breaking any law or violation of property or other rights.
An internet forum for discussion of 9mm v. 45, what caliber for aardvark, and which magazine floorplate works best in your 1911.
A place to discuss national issues (with VERY limited exceptions)
A place to post memes.
A place for profanity and unprofessional conduct.
A place for slamming (or promoting) one party or another. (partisan talk)
The first amendment applies to government prosecution for exercise of free speech. The WVCDL is not the government, and this page is WVCDL property, and our message to control.
