With our surgical suite so close to opening, we want to recognize someone who has played an integral role in making this dream a reality—Dr. Danache Thermozier. 👏

Danache Thermozier was the very first doctor at our Carmelle Voltaire Family Health Center, and his dedication has helped the clinic grow into what it is today. To help the surgical suite open as quickly as possible, he has generously volunteered to perform both elective and on-call surgeries. He has also taken the initiative to assemble a team of surgeons and nurses who will serve at the Pritts-Olive Surgical Suite.

We did it! 🎉🏥💙

Because of your generosity, prayers, and support, we have officially reached our capital campaign goal of $235,000 in support of our Pritts-Olive Surgical Suite in Tom Gato, Haiti. What once felt like a distant dream is becoming a reality!

This new surgical suite will expand access to life-saving care for women and families in our community and beyond.

To every donor, advocate, volunteer, and friend who walked alongside us in this journey—thank you. We would like to say a special thank you to the Carmelle Voltaire Open Water Swimmers who raised $43,000, as well as the Vassar Students for Haiti from Vassar College who also participated in this campaign.

With the construction completed, the money raised, and the surgical team built, we are now working the final logistics to open the surgical suite before the end of 2026. We cannot wait to share what comes next. ✨
