Boomerang inspires youth to bounce back from challenges and move towards positive change.

Boomerang has a strong history of providing services to youth in the community. Since 2006, we have provided services to over 2000 young people between the ages of 11 and 20 who often come from difficult realities and are at greater risk of becoming disconnected from society. We invest in building strong relationships with these young people because we know, and research shows, that the keys to su

ccess - academic, emotional, psychological, and financial - are engagement, emotional intelligence and self-control. By helping young people build resilience, their outcomes will improve across the board. But we also know that development is not a linear process in adolescents, especially for young people who have experienced trauma. The reality of outreach and transition is that the process is nonlinear, with frequent start-stop-restart patterns.

Our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was a HUGE success! ✂️🎉
Last Thursday, we celebrated the opening of our new location at 1006 Storey Lane with great food, meaningful fellowship, student speakers, and the support of our team members, board members, and community partners!

We loved showing off our new signage — special shoutout to Intern Erika for painting our new and improved street sign! 🎨👏🏼

During our “What I Needed Then…” snowman activity, attendees shared the resources they wish they had in their youth and explored how Boomerang can step into those spaces for today’s young people! ☃️❄️
