From Seattle to Hatay, five students helped bring safe drinking water to 2,717 students! 💧❤️

Ali, Defne, Emre, Ezgi, and Öykü, five high school students in Seattle, organized community fundraising activities to help address the need for clean drinking water in earthquake-affected Hatay, Türkiye.

Through their efforts and BTF's partnership with TOKTUT Derneği, water filtration systems were installed in seven schools, providing students with safe drinking water while reducing reliance on single-use plastic bottles. 🌱

Since 2018, BTF Board Member Deniz Ertas has rallied fellow İzmir Fen Lisesi alumni around a shared goal: helping students access the financial support they need to pursue and continue their education.

This year, his campaign raised more than $10,000, helping support 12 high school and 5 university scholarships.

His advice to anyone thinking about starting their own fundraiser? “No fundraiser is too small,” and BTF is here to help.
