Each year, a group of recent college graduates are hired for two year terms to work closely with Gamma Phi Beta collegiate chapters, providing leadership education and professional support for chapter officers and members. Being a CLC is an exciting opportunity to grow professionally, build meaningful relationships with collegians, volunteers and staff and help support Gamma Phi!

We're looking for CLC's who:

🌙 Ability to prioritize projects
🌙 Have writing and communication skills

Today we're spotlighting Mahaela Park (California State-Long Beach) on her incredible recent accomplishments!! She appears in the new show Phony, out now on Hulu!

A little about Mahaela and her journey into acting:
“I’m from Ventura County, CA and I’ve always loved to perform! I found my first audition on Instagram for a movie called Dìdi, and I ended up getting the part! That’s how I was able to find representation, get more auditions, and eventually land my latest project, Phony! I filmed Phony in Canada for about three months last year. I’m so excited and very proud of all my hard work, and I can’t wait for everyone to see!”

Today we are spotlighting Emma Marrs (British Columbia) from our Alpha Lambda chapter at University of British Columbia and her experience being Education Vice President!

“As Education Vice President, I oversee my incredible officers as they run our academic support, sisterhood events, new member education program, and so many more areas! I also organize our Bid Day, which is coming up soon!

Serving on GPhi Exec has been an incredibly meaningful experience for me and has truly deepened my friendships within the chapter. My favorite memory has been getting to attend GPhi Convention with our chapter president, Anya, this past July!”

"Coming into USD as freshmen, we honestly didn’t know much about recruitment or what being in a sorority would look like for us. Within the first few days of recruitment, we found a group of women who showed us what deep friendship, loyalty, love, and genuine sisterhood look like. We saw women who constantly support one another and are examples of the kind of friends and women we wanted to be.

Since then, we have made countless memories with our sisters. These women have shown up for us during some of the best and hardest moments of our lives. They constantly make us laugh, push us to grow, encourage us to achieve our goals, celebrate our successes, and remind us what unconditional friendship looks like.

One of the most amazing parts of GPhi is that it brings people into your life who you may have never met through classes or your normal day-to-day life. Somehow, those people can turn into the exact friends you never knew you needed. We are so thankful that Gphi brought us women with completely different stories, interests, and personalities who have become some of our very best friends.

Growing up in a big family with five sisters, sisterhood has always been such a huge part of our lives. Being away from home, Pphi has truly become our sisterhood away from home.

We are so thankful for GPhi and for every friendship, memory, laugh, late night, celebration, and special moment that has brought us closer together. The women in this sorority are truly one of the biggest blessings USD has given us, and we know these are friendships we will carry with us long after college.
