We’re so proud of our DTC Optimist Club for their recent volunteer efforts! 💙

Our members dedicated their time and energy to supporting several Denver Public Schools by helping run the Brain Bowl—monitoring sessions, working the concession stand, and cheering on the students every step of the way.

They also spent time at Treasure House of Hope, baking and packaging treats to brighten the days of those in the house.

Stayed tuned for an exciting summer of volunteering !! We will be helping treasure house of hope more, Optimist Junior Golf, sweet dreams in a bag and so much more !! Make sure to come to our next meeting or reach out directly with questions on how to get involved !!

Help us make Denver a better place, one service at a time!!

Service, leadership, and community—this is what we’re all about!

As August comes to a close, we are grateful for the many service opportunities we’ve been able to take part in. One highlight was the Optimist Respect for Law Awards, a banquet we are proud to sponsor nearly every year. While it may be one of our smaller events, its impact is often the greatest—shining a light on the men and women in law enforcement who go above and beyond to serve their communities with integrity and optimism.

This year, we were honored to recognize two deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, one officer from the Parker Police Department, and one officer from the Sheridan Police Department. Each of these individuals exemplifies what it means to protect and serve while leaving a lasting, positive impression on the people they encounter.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the dedicated officers who work tirelessly every day to keep our communities safe. Your service inspires optimism, trust, and unity—and for that, we are deeply grateful. 🚓💙

MEETING THIS WEDNESDAY, 6/18, American Legion, 5400 E Yale Ave Denver, CO 80222

Last meeting we had the honor to host guest speaker, Adrienne Rosel-Bulinski . Former Miss Kansas shared an inspiring message about staying true to yourself and not compromising your dreams when life does not go as planned. Adrienne embodies the optimist mentality everyday of her life and reminded us to do the same. This influential talk left us motivated and enlightened to continue the journey to be our best selves.

What stood out most was Adrienne’s unwavering positivity. She spoke candidly about the challenges she’s faced and how she chooses to approach each day with grit, gratitude, and an optimistic spirit. Her words reminded us that while we can’t always control what happens to us, we can control how we respond—with resilience, integrity, and a mindset focused on growth.

Her message was an energizing reminder to support one another, chase our goals with conviction, and embody optimism in our daily lives. We walked away inspired, empowered, and ready to lift others up along the way.

We look forward to our next meeting this Wednesday, June 18th @ 6pm at the American Legion, 5400 E Yale Ave Denver, CO 80222. Where we will have another exciting guest speaker, Maria DeBoer who is the Kids Hope USA Coordinator. She will be sharing some amazing volunteering programs and inspiring stories on how influential volunteering can be.

As a reminder EVERYONE is welcome to join us for a burger and an inspiring message.

As the weather begins to warm and summer draws near, we find ourselves reflecting on the many incredible opportunities we embraced last year. From hosting Junior Golf tournaments and participating in the Type One Diabetes Walk for Awareness to preparing meals for families at the Ronald McDonald House, our summer was packed with meaningful impact. We proudly auctioned off a delicious Paella dish to raise funds for future initiatives, recognized exceptional local officers with our Respect the Law Awards, read to elementary school students, and volunteered at a Colorado Rockies game to support charitable donations.

This summer promises to be just as action-packed—if not more! Many of these events will return, along with new opportunities to give back and get involved.

If you're interested in learning more or getting involved, we’d love to hear from you! Feel free to message us on Facebook or join us in person at one of our meetings—held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM at The American Legion Post 1 (5400 E. Yale Ave, Denver, CO).

We’re excited for what’s ahead and hope to see some new faces this summer!

Remember ALL are welcome as we do our best to bring out the best in kids !
