Please join us in welcoming Erin Leyba, our new Operations Manager at the Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado & Wyoming!

Erin is a longtime Colorado resident, a mom of four, a dog mom of two, and someone who loves a good book, family adventures, and a spontaneous road trip. Here's a little more about Erin in her own words:

"I'm a wife, mom of four, and dog mom to two. I've lived in Colorado for many years and love calling it home. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, embracing the craziness of the holiday season, and keeping up with the busy chaos of everyday life. I love getting lost in a good book and am always up for a road trip, especially when it means making memories with my family along the way.
I'm looking forward to meeting everyone in person, whether that's in the office, on a team walk, or at one of our events. I'm truly excited to be part of this team and can't wait to get to know all of you!"

We're so happy to have you on the team, Erin!

One life can leave a lasting legacy.

As we close SUDEP Action Day week, we're highlighting Lincoln's Law, a Colorado law helping improve recognition of epilepsy-related deaths.

We're also remembering the families and loved ones whose stories continue to inspire awareness and change.

Through our Epilepsy Walks, families can come together, create teams in memory of loved ones, and honor their stories through our Mile of Memory and SUDEP remembrance shirts.

Swipe to learn more about Lincoln's Law and how we remember loved ones right here in Colorado and Wyoming. For more resources, reach out to [email protected].

Epilepsy is more than seizures. Did you know 1 in 3 people with epilepsy experience depression or anxiety?

This World Mental Health Day, we're reminding our community that you don't have to navigate those challenges alone. From support groups and one-on-one guidance to a preferred provider network and mental health reimbursement, the Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado & Wyoming has resources to help.

During Hispanic Heritage Month, we want to continue sharing stories that remind us of the importance of community and support for people living with epilepsy and their families.

In this video, Sandra, Daniel’s mom, shares a little about her son’s journey with epilepsy. Sandra and Daniel had the opportunity to join us at our Purple Peaks Retreat, a retreat for adults living with epilepsy. While Daniel enjoyed spending time and having new experiences alongside other adults who also live with epilepsy, Sandra was able to connect with other families who understand this journey firsthand.

We hope Sandra and Daniel’s story reminds you that you and your family are not alone. If you or someone in your family is living with epilepsy and would like to learn more about our programs, support groups, or opportunities to connect with our community, we would love to hear from you!

Please contact us by email or phone, especially if you are interested in participating in our Purple Peaks Retreat in 2027:

Families affected by epilepsy don’t have to navigate it alone. Support can come from family, friends, and the people around us.

Throughout the year, EFCOWY participates in walks, community events, and local gatherings where families can connect, learn about epilepsy resources, and find support. If you’re looking for ways to connect with others affected by epilepsy, we invite you to join us at an upcoming event. Together, we can help ensure that no one faces epilepsy alone.

We also welcome opportunities to be part of events in the communities we serve. If your organization, school, church, community group, or neighborhood is hosting a walk, health fair, celebration, or other gathering, we would be happy to join you and share epilepsy resources with your community.
