Join Snovalley Pride TONIGHT, Wednesday, September 23, at the historic North Bend Theatre for a FREE showing of the iconic film, Brokeback Mountain.

Set against the sweeping landscapes of the American West, Brokeback Mountain tells the unforgettable story of Ennis Del Mar (Heath Ledger) and Jack Twist (Jake Gyllenhaal), two cowboys whose unexpected connection becomes a powerful, decades-long love shaped by longing, secrecy, and a world that refuses to accept them.

When it was released in 2005, Brokeback Mountain became a cultural phenomenon. At Snovalley Pride, we love art in all its forms. Film, creative writing, poetry, painting, collage, music, and every beautiful way our community expresses itself.

We believe art can help us process what we feel, share our stories, connect with one another, and bring more beauty into the world. That is why we want to create more opportunities for our powerful 2SLGBTQ+ community and allies to explore their creativity, find their voice, and strengthen it together.

We are so excited to announce our newest creative workshop, GLIMMER!

What is a glimmer?

Perhaps it is a spark of hope, a joyful memory, a moment of inspiration, or the quiet light that helps you find your way forward.

Join Snovalley Pride and our dear friend Nina Ostrovsky for a welcoming afternoon of creativity, connection, and discovery. Through a series of inspiring creative exercises, Nina will help you loosen your imagination, explore your perspective, and begin shaping your own interpretation of GLIMMER.

Your piece might become a short story, a poem, a spoken word performance, or something completely unexpected. No previous writing experience is needed. Whether you are discovering your creative voice for the first time or have been writing for years, you are welcome here.

EVENT UPDATE!

After thoughtful consideration, we have decided to postpone Pride in the Patch until next fall. As a growing nonprofit, we want to be intentional about our capacity and ensure that every event we host reflects the care, creativity, and sense of belonging our community deserves. This additional time will allow us to deepen our relationships with businesses, organizations, and community members in Snoqualmie and North Bend, expand local support, and thoughtfully build an event we are truly proud to bring to the Upper Valley. We believe postponing is the most responsible decision and will ultimately create a stronger, more meaningful, and more sustainable Pride in the Patch for everyone.
