Our mission is to create a more equitable Snoqualmie Valley by engaging, connecting, and supporting people and organizations working together to build a community where all members can thrive. Drawing on the collective impact model, A Supportive Community For All (SCFA) serves as backbone support for people and organizations working together to transform systems and create a community where all me
mbers can thrive. As is common for collective impact initiatives in the early phases, our backbone organization is focused on guiding our partners toward a shared vision, supporting aligned activities, establishing shared measurement practices, and cultivating community engagement and ownership by developing a governance structure to ensure that the work is community-led. Currently, SCFA’s primary area of work continues to be provision of support to the Snoqualmie Valley Human Services Coalition, a growing group of human service providers, faith communities, medical and behavioral health providers, in their efforts to work together in new ways to connect community members to the human services and other resources they need through a collaborative Referral and Navigation Program that provides centralized access to human services in the Snoqualmie Valley. We also provide fiscal sponsorship to Snovalley Pride, an emerging group of volunteers that seeks to honor the unique and diverse voices living in the Valley, to strengthen and build our community by providing safe spaces to gather, and to celebrate q***r voices and perspectives in local arts, music and culture. Fiscal sponsorship enables them to seek grant funding, accept tax-deductible donations and expand their transformational work in our community. As an organization, our role is to build community power and support our partners in fulfilling their vision for transformative change. We recognize that this work is a starting point, not an answer, and that equity-focused work is continuous; it requires many voices and a deep, ongoing commitment to dismantling the root causes of inequities in the Snoqualmie Valley and elsewhere.
