The Hmong Association of Washington invites our Hmong elders, families, and community members to join us for an afternoon of connection, conversation, and community!

Our Elder Social Gatherings create a welcoming space for elders to spend time together, build relationships, participate in activities, and stay connected with the broader Hmong community. These gatherings are also an important way for us to honor our elders and the knowledge, experiences, and traditions they continue to carry and share with future generations.

Hello everyone,

2026 is wrapping up and the new year is fast approaching. We are excited to invite our parents and grandparents to participate in this year’s Seattle Hmong new year Fashion Show! Everyone is welcome to join, but we are encouraging parent/child and grandparent/grandchild pairs to showcase the evolution from traditional to modern Hmong clothing.

Our parents/grandparents come from humble backgrounds. In the past, they worked hard all year long in the fields to enjoy the new year celebration. Let's dress them up in their best Hmong outfit to celebrate the coming new year, and celebrate how far they come.

Please fill out our volunteer form to participate.
