Dove is loving her new 𝚏̲𝚘̲𝚜̲𝚝̲𝚎̲𝚛̲ momma! As someone who saw the state she came in and watch her cower from the noise and rigor of a shelter, my heart is so delighted.

SUCCESS!

"Romeo is starting to come out of his shell more and more each day! We absolutely adore him. I redid his enclosure in a different area of my office that he’s liking a lot. We started supervised free roam time and we got to see his first flop in his little house!

He’s loving spending his days rearranging the furniture and toys in his enclosure and occasionally bouncing around and rubbing his chin on everything he can find.

He is also getting along great with my cat and while he was a little scared of our pet dove’s cooing the first day or two, he’s adjusted to it now!"

We love to hear updates and get pictures of our adopters (both people and buns!)

Sweet Chai 🫖🧉🍵

He came to us after being rescued from the horrendous hoarding situation in Veronica, OR (HUGE shout out to Avalon Microsanctuary who facilitated the rescue and rehoming of 34 bunnies!!!)

Look at these fat and happy rabbits 😍😍😍 Nothing makes a heart happier than rabbits like that.

Everyone else had given up on them (they were at the Humane Society for over a year 😭) but their adopter (aka HERO) Kat says this:

"Woodstock has become very relaxed and confident. He's claimed his own space, but will come out to check on us! He's very social and sweet, enjoys a lot of pets.

Snoopy is a big explorer and will go places Woodstock will not. She accept pets in the morning and evening, but generally still shy and easy to startle. I'm giving her lots of autonomy and overall her gaze is softer.

Tons of flops and teeth purring from both of them!"

His foster dad fell hard and decided to adopt him!

"He is flopping over all the time, doing binkies, running around, testing boundaries.. he's doing great. He flopped last night when Jennifer was petting him and he flopped just now, next to me as I am working.

Bunnies as you know choose you as much as you choose them. We’ve chosen each other."

Sometimes, highly loving, wonderful, funny, sassy bunnies end up staying at the shelter too long simply because they're a little older 😣

But! Thank goodness that this is NOT the case with Gus Gus & Buckwheat 🥰🥰🥰 The perfect home came along for them recently and this is what Sarah, aka the hero, writes:

"Buckwheat in particular has been outgoing and adventurous. She seems to have a special liking for my daughter, and goes straight to her when we let them out. They have free range of half of the downstairs right now, and I haven’t found any p*e outside of the p*e pad! Both of them come to the gate when we come downstairs, and will briefly seek out pets before going about their business."
