Voices VOICES was born in 2016, and the power of the arts and the human voice continues to fuel the work of our team.

VOICES is on a mission to amplify voices in the Roaring Fork Valley, CO through the arts | VOICES tiene la misión de amplificar voces en el Valle de Roaring Fork a través de las artes. "I, who had been silent for over 50 years, began to see how important voice is."
15 years ago, our Founder and Board President, Barbara Reese, was introduced to poetry and it changed her life. She set out to create

an organization that would allow others in her community to explore their voices through not just poetry, but also dance, theatre, music, painting, drawing....all of the arts.

💫 Meet your storytellers! Come see these locals share stories from their lives at our first ARTery Tiny Stage appearance of 2026. Tomorrow, June 6th, at 4pm in Rifle at Bookcliffs Arts Center!

JOB FIGUERA is a visual artist and photographer who seeks to beautify the world through his art.

CHRISTINA SENECHAL is an occupational therapist, mom, and avid gardener who manages the Bookcliffs Arts Center Community Garden.

TOM EVANS has lived in our community for over 35 years, and is a folk musician specializing in banjo and blues guitar.

MICHAEL SKYES is a youth artist from Parachute and a member of the VOICES Youth Springboard.

The VOICES ARTery Tiny Stage is a mobile performance space that lands like a butterfly throughout our region each summer, offering locals a chance to share their stories with the listening public. Join us!
