It’s pretty awesome to create something new. But that’s exactly what we did last fall, and WOW. Carbondale showed up!

CEF brought back the beloved Oktoberfest celebration, only now it’s an annual fundraiser for our nonprofit. Oktoberfest brought together, neighbors, local businesses, and supporters of our schools for a night packed with fun, laughs, and a fair bit of beer 😅

events like this help fund grants and programs that support students and teachers across Carbondale schools. But they also do something else. They remind us that education is a shared investment in the future of this community. And when people come together around that idea, pretty amazing things can happen.

and if we can do that through handmade pretzels, and beer drinking? All the better!

We’re so grateful to every business, partner, and individual who showed up for our Carbondale students over the past year. Because of you, our schools are stronger.

Thank you for being a part of it. Now, onward!

Earlier this school year, CEF helped fund $32,500 in school supplies for students across our local schools!

That’s just one example of where donations go, and we were thrilled to help out. The reality is that having the right supplies can change how a student experiences school.

And when teachers don’t have to worry about whether students can afford materials, they can focus on what matters most: learning. When students make it to class prepared, they show up happier.

Small things matter. And sometimes, the smallest things make the biggest difference in a classroom 🌟

Real talk: What exactly does the Carbondale Education Foundation do?

The short answer: we help fund the ideas, tools, and experiences that make learning stronger in our local schools.

Sometimes that means classroom supplies. Sometimes it means helping a teacher bring a creative project to life.

Sometimes it means supporting field trips, guest speakers, or hands-on experiences that help students connect their learning to the real world.

🌟 Six schools in Carbondale.
🌟 Hundreds of students.
🌟 A whole lot of potential.

And a community that believes education matters.
