As AI skyrockets, we still have to remember that we are humans and our bodies need human things to survive and thrive. It’s clear that the most attractive part of AI is that it promises another economic boom similar to the turn of the millennium. We can’t stop it. That’s part of being human, too - innovating, dreaming, wanting, expanding.
So as technology deepens, we need to also imagine what is necessary to counterbalance such enormous growth in order to keep our hearts, minds and souls healthy. We will always need to use our hands and bodies to create things, not just our minds. We will always need clean water, air and soil to remain viable on Earth.
Regeneration and restoration of the land will act as a counter-balance to the digital technology. It will allow us and our surroundings to still provide for life. In the USA especially, there is an inordinate amount of land where this can all happen. Traveling through it first-hand only strengthened my belief and love for the Bison. One day we will be known across the world for them, just like so many countries in Africa are known for their large mammals. Your grandchildren and great-grandchildren won’t understand how you didn’t grow up seeing bison or knowing much about them. Just like with AI. They are a perfect pair, a match made in Heaven.

A million thanks to all who made this tour a reality and for getting us both back home (even if the truck and Airstream are still recuperating in Albuquerque, New Mexico): STEPHANIE and her family and friends, MIA, HOPE, SARA, SANDRA, PAM, JUSTIN, JARED, STACI, ORIANA and CAELIN!
