The Potters Hands WNY The Potter's Hands WNY is a ministry of The Chapel Church in Getzville, N.Y. We are always in need of volunteers to help us continue our mission.

The Potter's Hands of WNY is a Christian ministry that provides household items and support to people recovering from domestic violence, homelessness, human trafficking, and other desperate circumstances. We also strive to connect families and individuals with a local church congregation in their area so that they are not alone in their journey. All appointments are made through referrals from local community agencies and churches. Please contact us for more information about how you can help.

Some basic items we could use are as follows, pillows, sheets (Twin & Full sets), blankets same sizes. No throw blankets please we have an over abundance of those. Just Bed size blankets. Thank you for considering a donation to us.

Every Thursday at The Potter's Hands Warehouse is different. We had a few no show clients today. That can be discouraging, but then in the midst of that a lovely women comes by & drops off some brand new donations. So no cleaning, testing, repairing items before we can put them out on our shelves. Our God knows how to lift us up & encourage us volunteers.

I want to say Thank you to all the folks who have liked our page, shared our needs with others & followed us. We are also thankful for all the donations. When you get to see the warehouse full of so many helpful items it's quite amazing. May God bless all of you for filling our storehouse.

I think it's time again to inform folks that The Potter's Hands WNY is an all volunteer run ministry. Yes, you heard that right. That is why the warehouse is only open one day a week on Thursdays 9-2. The delivery teams & our pickup team are also all volunteer. Our phone contact folks also all volunteer. This is the reason donated items cannot be picked up quickly. In fact we have had to pass on accepting donations for that very reason. It needs to be scheduled. They group pick ups into areas close to each other to save time & fuel. Please don't wait until the last minute to expect a pick up. Having proper lead time is so very important. We scheduled clients to come for their appointments, please be on time for yours. That appointment gives clients a proper amount of time to pick out & sometimes take their needs with them. Clients & their representatives may have to wait if we are busy. Please check here about what items we accept. I am always happy to let you know. Please do not dump items outside our doors. We only have a very small dumpster for disposing of our own trash. Thank you to all who support us!

THANK YOU to those who shop & donate regularly. We have an abundance of drinking glasses, shower liners, silverware, lamps. If by chance you you find lamp shades on clearance that is one specialty item that we love to receive. One of our most taken items is beds. A new set of twin or full sheets is greatly appreciated.

We volunteers here at the warehouse ask for you not to leave items outside unless it has been cleared by John our director. This is out of respect for the other companies & so that we are aware of what is out there. Please no baby items, Medical equipment, building supplies. Someone recently left a chandelier. That would be better donated to Habitat for their restore!

We Welcome anyone who thinks they may be interested in Volunteering at The Potter's Hands Warehouse to come & check us out. We are open Thursdays 9am-2:30pm. If you are just interested in this ministry of The Chapel, we Welcome you also. Come see us in operation, then you will know how to pray for our clients, our ministry needs & our volunteers.
