This year, the course was thoughtfully designed to highlight the heart of the Old First Ward, guiding runners through some of the neighborhood’s most iconic and meaningful spots.

We wanted the route to feel connected to the community, not just a start and finish line.

With race day less than two weeks away, now is the perfect time to secure your spot.

For the 48th Annual Shamrock Run, the honor of firing the start gun belongs to Margaret “Peg” Overdorf.

A lifelong presence in the Old First Ward, Peg represents the generations of people who built, protected, and continue to show up for this neighborhood.

This race has always been about more than running. It’s about community, history, and passing tradition forward. Today, that tradition starts with her. 🍀
