In 2019, a group of British conservationists came up with an idea so simple in its ex*****on, so clever in its marketing, and so seemingly beneficial in its outcomes that […]

We weeded, tended, and planted the Point Gardens at the Village Green today as well as the Library Garden. It was six hours of hard at it gardening by six KVIS volunteers! Plus the many trips out to Spoth Farm on Tonawanda Creek Road for the plants, this was many hours of work. The KVIS pays for all the plants at the Point Gardens but the Library Board reimburses us for the plants there. We hope that the gardens give your joy when you go by them and that you know that Kenmore truly is a place where love and kindness grow. A BIG thank you to todays planters: Rich, Michael, Ashlie, Nancy, Frank, Melissa, and Sarah the dog. 🙂

Bees are most attracted to highly fragrant white, yellow, purple and blue blooms. One of their favorites is phacelia tanacetifolia, also known as Bee's Friend, a non-invasive annual native to WNY (pictured).
Come spring, if you would like some Bee's Friend seeds, please contact us at the Kenmore Village Improvement Society (KVIS). We would be happy to provide them, completely free of charge.
