July has been Disability Pride Month, and we’re sharing 5 incredible books to introduce young readers to children living with different challenges and experiences of the world. Whether living with blindness, limb difference, autism, cerebral palsy, or sensory processing disorder, these kids explore life fully with all its challenges, beauty, and joy.

Happy 4th of July, Brooklyn! Stay safe and stay cool in this extreme heat! As our nation commemorates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, may we remember our achievements while recognizing the critical work still being done to achieve true equality and a democracy that serves all. Let’s celebrate the diversity and richness of our country and the city we call home, the American ideals WE hold to be true.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandpas, stepdads, uncles, and father figures who show up with love, guidance, patience, and laughter. You believe in your children, and they will grow up knowing it and dreaming big.

Happy Juneteenth! Today we honor this celebration of freedom and the resilience, achievements, and contributions of Black Americans throughout history. As we commemorate the day in 1865 when enslaved people in Texas finally learned they were free, we also reflect on the ongoing pursuit of equality, opportunity, and justice for all.

Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani + BKS = 2K for all! Had a very special visit from Mayor Mamdani at our Nat Azarow center this week to highlight his 2K for all initiative, launching in Brownsville! And of course to celebrate the Knicks historic win! 🎉

Mayor Mamdani’s 2K for All will help BKS provide access to high quality educational care for our Brownsville families. We are excited to have the opportunity to support all 2yo children with the same growth & development opportunities!

2K apps are OPEN! Apply before 6/26 by visiting MySchools.nyc, or call/visit us at our Brownsville centers! 🔗 Link in bio

Our kids had a blast celebrating with Senator Jabari Brisport & Assembly Member Latrice Walker as well - thank you for rolling up your sleeves and finger painting for a great cause!

Go 2K, go 2K, GO! 💙🧡 THANK YOU again to Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani & NYC Mayor's Office 🧡💙
