Get ready for a water weekend! 🌊 We have two upcoming free paddling events:

CANOEING:
👉 Saturday, Aug 22, 12-3pm 📍Manhattan Avenue Park, Greenpoint, Brooklyn (next to 1205 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11222)

KAYAKING:
👉 Sunday, Aug 23, 1-3pm
📍Bushwick Inlet Park, corner Franklin St and N 15th St, Williamsburg

At these FREE informal paddles, NBCB welcomes walk-up participants (no registration is required) to join trained guides for 20-minute paddles.

You can drop by anytime during the event hours.

This is a family-friendly event. We provide the equipment. First come, first served.

Our Public Paddle series let us fulfill our mission: enabling safe, responsible, access to our waterways, and educating residents to be stewards of the history, ecology and sustainability of the waterways of Newtown Creek and the adjacent East River .

♥️ 🙌 It was a busy weekend at NBCB. On Saturday a group of paddlers circled Randall's Island 🚣 - a trip we haven't done with the canoes since 2019! We had great conditions, a nice stop at Randall's, and beautiful sunset views. 🌅 Thanks to Erin and Alan Castles for leading. 🌊

✨ 🌊 On Sunday, a group of advanced paddlers ventured out from Queens Landing to Red Hook's Valentino Park. Check out the beautiful city skyline and harbor views! 🙌 They had some time for a beach landing ⛱️ and a lunch break before riding the flood home. What an amazing day! ♥️ 😎 Thanks to trip leader Kandice for leading!
