This past weekend, we set the longest table that spanned down 46th Road in Queens. We welcomed old and new friends, our neighbors, our families, kids from the neighborhood, and anyone who just showed up.

With the help from our amazing partners, volunteers, and guests, we couldn’t have pulled this off without them.

We hope that during this afternoon, time felt a little slower and the neighborhood felt a little smaller.

We live in a moment of deep disconnection. Where neighbors don’t know each other’s names and loneliness is at an all-time high.

And the things that once brought us together — shared meals, open doors, public life — have quietly faded. But on September 12 we’re setting the biggest one yet. 🧡

Renew Queens will be partnering with Wellspring Church and Manducatis Rustica for The Longest Table — a free community event where everyone’s welcome to pull up a chair.
