Our Mission is to fight poverty from the inside out by embracing people with the compassion of Christ, offering hope and healing for a changed life. Vision:
To excel in the provision of food, shelter, clothing, education, job training, and counseling to neighbors in need. Bridgeport Rescue Mission is incorporated in Connecticut as a non-profit corporation. We are governed by an independent board of directors and is classified as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt agency by the IRS.

We’re excited to welcome Chef Jeff Henderson as the featured speaker at Bridgeport Rescue Mission’s Restoring Hope Dinner this fall.

Chef Jeff’s powerful journey from poverty and incarceration to becoming a celebrated chef, author, entrepreneur, and advocate for second chances is a story of transformation, purpose, and hope.

The countdown is officially on—in less than 24 hours, Went Field Park will be filled with families, volunteers, community partners, and neighbors coming together for one incredible day of fun, connection, and support.
