Each year, hundreds of thousands of dollars are raised to cover living expenses and fund education, screenings and other no-cost programs. Vincent's Medical Center Philanthropy Department is the charitable arm of Hartford Healthcare/St. Vincent's Medical Center located in Bridgeport, Connecticut. e in the greater Bridgeport community. Vincent’s is dedicated to providing healthy living at every stage of life and enhance life by addressing the unique needs of patients, families and our community. Healthcare education, wellness and disease prevention education is offered through a wealth of resources such as symposiums, classes and support groups. Our outreach programs and partnerships are designed to enhance public health and quality of life in the greater Bridgeport area and improve access to health services for members of the community we serve. We seek to advance medical or healthcare knowledge through education and relieve or enhance any ongoing public healthcare efforts. Our programs reach adults and teenagers, men and women, infants and seniors, providing health education and care regardless of ability to pay.

Brothers Luca and Giancarlo Rubio took part in the Swim Across the Sound as swimmers and team captains to give back to the organization that supported their family during the most difficult time.
Four years ago their mom, Lisa, was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. The Swim Across the Sound was there to support the family. Today, Lisa is cancer-free and extremely proud of her sons. They raised more than $14,000 for cancer patients and families. To read more about the Rubio family and donate to the Swim- click here
