Savanna is about a year old and weighs about 10lbs. She has super soft fur and the cutest little puppy eyes. Savanna was rescued from a home in South Texas where her humans were unable to care for her and the other dogs in the home anymore due to age and health decline. In the area Savanna was from, there are hundreds of thousands (literally) of stray dogs and not much funds to help the four legged creatures in the area, because of this, Savanna was one of 10+ dogs in the home since her humans were trying to do the right thing but bringing in the homeless animals. Because of this Savanna takes a little longer to warm up to new situations and people/dogs, but she is really starting to come out of her shell and shine. Her forever humans will just need to understand that she will require patience and her journey to learn how to "dog" is just beginning. Luckily she is still super young, so she is learning and growing daily!

Savanna is being fostered by one of our long term fosters who has young kiddos, other dogs (big and small) and cats. At first Savanna was super overwhelmed, but now she is thriving! The kiddos in her foster home have been calling her Popsicle Rock Star, so she already has a pretty awesome nickname! Here is what her foster Momma has to say about her "Popsicle Rockstar is a bit nervous when meeting new people, but warms up quickly. She does well with the other dogs and the cat she currently lives with and enjoys the foster's young children. She gets the zoomies when people return home or when dinner is about to be served and thinks neck scritches are the best. She loves playing with soft toys and keeping people company outside. It's been so much fun to watch her grow into a happy, loving, snuggly little dog in just a few weeks. As long as her forever family has just a little patience she is going to be the most amazing little dog and has an endless amount of unconditional love to give." We would love her to go to a home with at least one other confident dog since she seems to follow the other dogs in her foster home so well.

Salema is a 2-3 year old Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso(?) Mix weighing about 14lbs. Salema's history is pretty sad, but we are determined that the rest of her life is going to be filled with love safety. Salema gave birth to a few beautiful babies. Unfortunately that meant her family didn't want her anymore, and didn't want the responsibility of taking her of her babies either. The pups ended up passing away due to lack of care and support. Salema was on her own trying to survive and to keep her babies alive. Once all the pups passed away she was surrendered to the shelter. The shelter reached out to us because she was struggling after everything she had just been through. We immediately took Salema here in CO where we found her a wonderful, loving foster home for her to start the next chapter of her life.

Salema has been here for a little while and is ready to find a forever family of her very own. She gets along wtih all people and loves other dogs, big and small. She is still pretty young herself, so she loves playing and romping around the yard with the other dogs. She is snuggly and super loving. She is everything someone would look for in a dog. Since she is lower to non-shedding, she will need to get regularly groomed to keep her clean, adorable, and feeling good.

Can you help us find Birdie her forever family?? Birdie has now been in foster care for over a month and is patiently waiting for her forever family to adopt her.

Birdie is a 4MO, 12lb Terrier mix (We honestly don't know her breeds at all) and we are guessing she will be about 25-35lbs when full grown. This sweet, smart, loving, well trained little girl is about as perfect as they come! Her foster Momma has fostered tons of pups for us and says Birdie is the easiest and most well behaved out of all of them.

Birdie is potty trained, crate trained, and has been going on outings with her foster family - and doing great! She loves to play with other dogs and romp around the yard with the other dogs for squirrel patrol. She is also super sweet and loving. It's time overdue for her to find a family of her very own, just in time for the holidays!

Bruno is a 2-3 year old Chihuahua mix weighing about 13lbs. Bruno came from Texas where he was part of a neglect case. He was with multiple other dogs who's owner had grown old and sick. She was unfortunately having trouble taking proper care of all her little dogs, so animal control stepped in to get the dogs the care they needed. Luckily, their owner was able to realize on her own that she was in over her head and she needed help rehoming all her dogs, for their best interest. Bruno made his way to CO a few weeks ago and is now ready to find his very own forever family. Here is what his foster Momma has to say about him:

"Bruno is a shy pup that needs slow introduction but once he warms up he is sweet as can be. He loves hanging on the couch laying on soft blankets and loves to run around the yard with other dogs big and small). He is working hard on potty training and making good progress (he seems to be very smart!) He's good with older kids and we are guessing he would be good with anybody and anything since he is just the sweetest little love bug. He is also very chill and easy going. He would do great in a home with anothe doggo but it's not a must as long as he is loved and his forever human has as much unconditional love to give as he does!"

Meet Coop! He is a 3.5MO, 12lb Mutt of all Mutts! When it comes to his breed, your guess is as good as ours. He has one beautiful glass eye, big, adorably pointy years, and the BEST personality. Hopefully his forever humans will do a breed DNA test on him and share the results, becauase we are so curious! We are guessing he will be about 35-45lbs when full grown. Here is what Coop's foster Momma has to say about him:

"Coop loves to follow me around the house. I have fostered over 100 puppies at this point, and Coop is a really special little guy. He is very loving and hasn’t met a person yet he doesn’t like. He loves the big dogs he lives with and doesn’t seem to notice he’s a little guy. He loves running to his crate for treats and sleeps well through the night. We are working on potty training and think we are pretty close to being there. Coop would love a house where someone is home to hang with him and bring him on adventures and or let him curl up next to you while you work. How can you resist this love bug????"

Levi is a 2-3 year old Maybe Shih Tzu or Lhasa Apso. We don't know his actual breeds since he was found in terrible shape as a stray. When Levi was found he was so matted he could barely see or walk. He had to be shaved all the way down to get of all the dirt and mats. Levi was transferred to our rescue in CO a couple weeks back to continue healing from his time on the streets. He is now finally ready to find his forever family and is a happy, healthy boy!

Levi gets along well with other dogs, although was a little nervous the first few days. He gets along well with people and kiddos, and is just an easy going guy. He has become a huge snuggle bug and loves to just chill and hang out on the couch and loungue around. Levi's ideal home would be calm with tons of snuggles and maybe another dog hang with but thats not a must, as long as he is showered with snuggles and love. He would enjoy daily walks/outings and just a lower key, easy going life. He will need regular grooming appointments since he is a lower to non-shedding dog.

Betty is an adorably tiny senior Chihuahua weighing about 6lbs. We are guessing she is about 13-14 years old, but not totally sure. Betty came to us because she found herself without her humans and without a home as a mostly blind and deaf senior girl. The shelter was no place for her to spend her last days, so we brought her to CO so she could go into our foster program and hopefully find a forever human to shower her with love for the rest of her life. Here is what her foser Momma has to say about her:

"Don't let this little blind-and-deaf (mostly) thing fool you — this girl doesn't slow down for anything! She navigates her world like a pro and is always ready for her next adventure (or nap). A total snuggle bug at heart, she just wants to be wherever YOU are. Sunny spot on the floor? She's there, soaking it up like a lizard. Couch cuddles? Yes please. She's spent her whole life giving love, and now she's looking for someone to spend her golden years loving her right back. She may be small, blind, and deaf — but her heart is 100% intact and ready to be all yours."

Sully is a one-ish year old Terrier mix weighing about 9lbs. Sully was surrendered to one of our rescue partners because his owners were moving and couldn't take him with them. He has now been in our foster care program for a little while and is fully vetted and ready to find his forever family!

Sully is a wonderful little guys. His foster Momma describes him as the happiest, friendliest little guy with a great personality. He seems to be very smart, but hasn't had much training up until now. His foster Momma is working on potty training and leash training with him, and while he will still need some work, he seems to learn very quickly! Sully would do great in a home with another dog or as an only dog as long as his forever family has lots of time and love to give and will still get him out and about for mental and physical stimulation.

After MONTHS of waiting for her perfect forever family, Momma Ireland was finally adopted this weekend.

Ireland was dumped on the side of the road with all her babies when they were just a couple weeks old. She did such a good job taking care of her babies while also trying to survive herself, on the dangerous streets in Texas.

One of our wonderful rescue partners picked the whole family up and brought them to safety until we were able to get them to CO where they received all the love and care they desperately needed and deserved.

All Momma Ireland’s babies were adopted a couple months ago and she’s been waiting patiently for a family of her very own.

Finally, this weekend she had a meet and greet with a wonderful family, and of course they immediately fell in love with her. We have no doubts she will be incredibly spoiled and loved.

A huge shout out to her foster dad who patiently waited for her perfect family, and took wonderful care of her the whole time.

‼️FOSTERS NEEDED‼️ - TRYING ONE MORE TIME

Last week we were asked to save 13 little lives. All 13
Dogs had a ride to Colorado last Friday, we just had to find fosters here in Colorado for them, until they find their forever homes.

Unfortunately we weren’t able to find enough fosters to get them out of danger and to Colorado. Only 3 fosters stepped up, so we had to cancel the transport 😭

There’s another transport in just 2 days, so we wanted to try one more time, hopefully since the holiday is over and everybody is back from traveling we can find just 13 temporary homes for these sweet, innocent babies, so they can have a second shot at a life and a forever family of their own. They are all small and get along with other dogs and people. Some are even puppies that, yes, are still at risk for euthanasia, even though they are just babies. The overpopulation crisis doesn’t discriminate 😭
