STOP THE BOY SCOUT SCAM

This is a tragedy happening in real time — and we should not stand for it.

After decades of hidden abuse within the Boy Scouts of America, more than 82,000 survivors came forward with s*xual abuse claims — one of the largest child abuse scandals in U.S. history.

In response, the organization filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2020 and agreed to a $2.46 billion settlement trustmeant to compensate survivors.

But payments so far represent only a tiny fraction of what survivors were owed. Many are still waiting years for any meaningful compensation, while ongoing disputes with insurers and legal delays continue to drag this out.

Today’s reality does not match the scale of the harm done.
We have been too patient for too long.

Here’s what needs to happen now:

🔥 Congressional Hearings — Congress must hold hearings to oversee why this process is dragging out and why survivors are still waiting for justice.
🔥 Government Intervention — If institutions and insurers are blocking payments or shielding themselves from accountability, elected officials must intervene.
🔥 Public Pressure & Peaceful Protests — People walking, speaking out, asking hard questions — that is how change happens in this country.

We’ve seen intervention when it mattered — from major events like Taylor Swift ticket rollouts to Olympic negotiations.
Now it’s time to demand the same urgency and accountability for abuse survivors.

Boldface, loud and clear:
STOP THE BOY SCOUT SCAM.

Justice delayed is justice denied. The survivors — our fellow Americans — deserve more than crumbs. They deserve truth, accountability, and a real path to compensation.

If you are a Scout abuse survivor — or if you stand with survivors — please repost this.
Share your story if you feel safe. Share this message if you don’t.

Let’s flood the internet until the Boy Scouts of America, insurers, and Congress can no longer look away.

Because silence is what protected this abuse for decades.
And public truth is how we end it.

A Reflection on Justice and Accountability

The decision to pardon any convicted individual, particularly one guilty of a crime as heinous as child po*******hy, raises profound questions about our shared values as a nation. This is not about partisanship or political identity; it is about the moral compass that guides us as Americans. Crimes against children strike at the heart of our society’s commitment to protect the most vulnerable among us. Pardoning such an offense sends a message that undermines the very foundation of justice and accountability we all cherish.

Regardless of political beliefs, we can all agree on the importance of safeguarding our children. They depend on us to ensure that those who harm them are held accountable and that our legal system acts as a deterrent to such crimes. A pardon for a convicted child pornographer risks eroding this critical trust in our institutions and suggests that justice can be bypassed for reasons unrelated to the severity of the crime or the harm inflicted.

This is not just about one person or one decision; it’s about the broader implications for our nation’s moral and ethical standards. How can we expect parents to trust in the safety of their communities, or victims to trust in the fairness of the justice system, if such acts are excused or dismissed? How do we reconcile the value we place on protecting children with a decision that appears to dismiss the gravity of harming them?

We must ask ourselves: What message does this send to survivors of abuse, to those still suffering in silence, and to the next generation watching these decisions unfold? And what precedent does it set for future leaders who will be tasked with upholding the integrity of our justice system?

This moment calls for reflection, not division. It’s an opportunity for Americans—regardless of party affiliation—to stand together in affirming that some actions are simply incompatible with the values we hold dear. Crimes against children demand accountability, not leniency. Our shared humanity compels us to speak up and ensure that justice remains blind to power, politics, or influence.

By challenging this decision, we are not opposing a political figure; we are affirming a fundamental truth: that protecting children and preserving justice are principles that transcend politics. In doing so, we strengthen the foundation upon which our nation stands, united in our commitment to what is right and just.

🔊 Important Update for Our Community
Today marks a significant moment in our ongoing journey towards justice and fairness. Judge Laurie Selber Silverstein, presiding over the Boys Scouts of America's bankruptcy case, has made a decision that resonates deeply with our values and mission.

The judge has rightfully denied a $21 million fee request from attorneys representing survivors of child s*xual abuse within the Boy Scouts organization. This decision aligns with our core belief that the resources of the trust fund should be prioritized for the survivors, not depleted by legal expenses.

We've always held that the survivors' needs must be at the forefront. This ruling ensures that the $2.4 billion trust fund established for abuse survivors is used for its intended purpose - to provide compensation and support to those who have endured so much.

It's a reminder that while legal representation is crucial, it should never overshadow the rights and needs of the survivors. We stand firm in our commitment to seeing that justice is served and that every survivor receives the support and compensation they deserve without undue financial burden.

As we continue to navigate this complex process, let's take a moment to acknowledge this step towards a more just and survivor-focused outcome.

The judge presiding over the Boys Scouts of America's bankruptcy has rejected a $21 million fee request from attorneys hired by law firms representing survivors of child s*xual abuse.
