Doing good is its own reward.

But Colorado likes to give you a little credit, too. 😉

When you make a gift of $250 or more to Bridge House, you may qualify for a Colorado state income tax credit equal to 25% of your donation through the Homeless Contribution Tax Credit.

Make your gift go even further: While matching funds remain, your gift will also be matched dollar for dollar.

So, a $1,000 donation can create $2,000 in impact for Bridge House—and may earn you a $250 Colorado tax credit.

Double the impact. Get a little credit. Help someone move forward. Make sure you tell the others before leaving the office for the weekend.

💚 That first paycheck feeling. More than money—it’s hope in an envelope, proof that progress is possible, and a reminder that everyone deserves a second chance.

At Ready to Work, program participants earn their first paycheck in months. Each paycheck is split to provide:
🏠 A safe place to stay.
💰 Savings for tomorrow.
🌟 The simple freedom to choose.

It’s more than a paycheck—it’s the return of dignity, a reminder of self-worth, and a renewed sense of purpose.

DAF Day is the national giving day for donor-advised funds— the fastest-growing form of philanthropy in the country.

A DAF is a giving account managed by a public charity that allows individuals to make a charitable contribution, receive and immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants to nonprofits over time.

DOUBLE YOUR DAF THIS FOURTH QUARTER— any recommended grants to Bridge House between October 1 and December 31 count towards our $50,000 match donation.

Please check with your financial or tax advisor for details on how donor advised funds gifts to Bridge House and the Homeless Contribution Tax Credit apply to your individual situation.

And Happy DAF Day to those who celebrate 👉bhrtw.org/donate

Six months at Ready to Work. Six months sober. Six photo books documenting the journey— one for each month. And on October 1, Amanda L. celebrated another milestone: her 40th birthday.

She joined Ready to Work on March 12 after experiencing homelessness for 10 years. After admittedly hitting rock bottom, she began looking for programs that could help her make a lasting change.

“Recovery is possible, and when you have a built-in support group, you’re not alone,” Amanda said. “My favorite photos are the ones when we’re together as a group.”

That support includes her fellow trainees, peer coaches from Ascend Recovery Solutions and a longtime friend Jason who is caring for her cats while she completes the program. Amanda has also reconnected with her twin brother and the two plan to visit their mother together in Pennsylvania this Christmas.

While working toward graduation from Ready to Work, Amanda is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in health and human services from Bryant and Stratton Online College. She expects to graduate in 2028 and hopes to build a career helping others in recovery.

“I wanted a way to remember my journey,” she said of the photo books. “I want to help others going through it and let them know recovery is possible.”

can begin with a first shift. A safe place to sleep. A paycheck earned. Or someone believing change is possible.

Today, Bridge House launches Moving Forward Starts Here—our year-end campaign celebrating the people, work, and community behind every step toward lasting stability.

STARTING TODAY, AN ANONYMOUS DONOR WILL MATCH ELIGIBLE GIFTS DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR. THAT MEANS YOU CAN MAKE TWICE THE IMPACT.

There's important work ahead. And we’ll show you what moving forward looks like through Ready to Work: paid employment, housing, individualized support and milestones earned one step at a time.

The work continues. People move forward. It starts here. And starts now.

A NEW SEASON FOR THE BRIDGE HOUSE GALA ✨

As Bridge House moves into its next phase of growth—and prepares to celebrate 30 years of impact—we’re moving our signature fundraising event from October 7, 2026, to April 2027 at the Boulder JCC.

This intentional shift gives us the opportunity to bring our community together in a new season, celebrate three decades of our work-centered approach and share the momentum building across Bridge House.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you. Look for the new date and event details soon.

Sometimes progress begins with a blank page.

The simple act of putting pencil to paper can create space to slow down, focus, reflect and imagine something new.

For those in recovery or working towards sustainable independence, creating something can be a reminder that change happens the same way: one line, one choice, one step at a time.

And often, you make something pretty incredible happen along the way.
