Photo below of a volunteer family that was "placed" on Halloween Day, after their training, with their "adopted" nursing home elder. We have never stopped serving our mission during COVID. Many zoom trainings and zoom visits and delivering thousands of cards. Lots of visits returned as soon as doors opened for elder care facilities!

The elders living at TenderCare Assisted Living at University Hills always have lots of fun with the volunteers of all ages from Vertical Church. Their group leader working with Bessie's Hope to provide the enjoyable and deeply meaningful volunteer experience is Jessica Barnes.

Staying Connected Initiative began in April, 2020. Bessie's Hope has received and delivered thousands of cards and gifts from youth of all ages and adults from around the country! These drawings and cards by Yani Millsap and Xylah Millsap from St. Mary's Academy Englewood CO

Pre-COVID, Frank Doerger, Family and Elders Program volunteer, shared a Ginger Beer with Roy at Orchard Park Health Care Center. As soon as doors opened, Frank was back with a mask---but Roy still got his requested Ginger Beer!
