Following up on our last post—one of the finalists for Fat Bear Week 2026 is none other than a bear named Backpack! As far as this poster is aware, there is no connection to anyone at Starfall. Starfall's Backpack Bear wants you to go vote for your favorite, anyway! (Hurry though, time's almost up!)

Fat Bear Week starts tomorrow, September 22! In case you want to share with your learners: Fat Bear Week is an annual online tournament celebrating the brown bears of Alaska's Katmai National Park as they gorge on salmon to prepare for winter hibernation. During this event, the public votes in a bracket-style competition to crown the park's fattest and most successful bear. Learn more and cast your own vote at fatbearweek.org!

Then, hop on over to Starfall and practice vocabulary and spelling while helping to fatten up a bear of your own with the UnBEARable Spelling Bees game!
