Our TEXAS postcard campaign has launched!
There’s a LOT of excitement for Texas this year with both a US Senate Race between Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) and (D) State Representative James Talarico) plus the Governor’s race (incumbent Greg Abbott (R) v. (D) State Representative Gina Hinojosa). The most recent polls show BOTH of these races as a DEAD HEAT!
BUT we have work to do.
Governor Abbott has boasted that Texas has purged more than 1 million Texans from the voter rolls over the past several years. We’re writing to Black voters across the state, some of whom were purged from the rolls and others that are unregistered for other reasons.
Texans must register before October 5th so they can vote this fall. And registering to vote in the Lone Star State is a multi-step, complicated process. The sooner we reach these potential voters, the better.
