"Geoff Foster, executive director of Common Cause Massachusetts, said, '𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞. It works in other states and it is beyond time,'

[Foster] said it is a straightforward, secure and proven reform that removes barriers for voters. It’s also an “extremely secure system,” especially with additional requirements to prove residency when someone is voting and registering on the same day.

Massachusetts voters will decide on Question 4, which would allow same-day voter registration at polling places, with supporters citing increased access and opponents raising fraud concerns.
