Today, MCNP joins communities across the country in recognizing Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and serves as a reminder of the ongoing pursuit of equity and opportunity for all.
As nurse practitioners, we see firsthand how social, economic, and historical factors influence health and access to care. Juneteenth invites us to reflect on our shared responsibility to advance health equity, reduce barriers to care, and ensure that every patient is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
