Founded in 1974, the Lyric Stage Company of Boston is the city’s oldest professional theatre company, dedicated to producing theatrical art which expresses the range of possibilities that live theatre offers, reflects the different cultures of the Greater Boston area, and provides an intimate home to nurture the talents of Boston-area artists. The Lyric Stage presents seven productions each season to an annual audience of over 40,000, including over 2,000 Season Ticket Holders.

We’re thrilled to announce the cast and directors for the 6th Annual G. Lee Humphrey Lyric First Page Festival, featuring bold, funny, heartfelt, and imaginative new plays written by students in grades 6–12 from across Massachusetts.

For the first time ever, First Page will be a two-night celebration:

Night 1: Middle School Playwrights, June 1 @ 7pm
Night 2: High School Playwrights, June 2 @ 7pm

Announcing the 6th Annual G. Lee Humphrey Lyric First Page Festival! ✏️ 🎭

First Page unites young playwrights in grades 6-12 with professional theatre-makers. We received a record number of submissions this year and are excited to announce that for the first time ever, First Page will be a two-night event. Night 1 will feature plays by middle school playwrights on Monday, June 1 and Night 2 will feature plays by high school playwrights on Tuesday, June 2.
