Founded in 1974, the Lyric Stage Company of Boston is the city’s oldest professional theatre company, dedicated to producing theatrical art which expresses the range of possibilities that live theatre offers, reflects the different cultures of the Greater Boston area, and provides an intimate home to nurture the talents of Boston-area artists. The Lyric Stage presents seven productions each season to an annual audience of over 40,000, including over 2,000 Season Ticket Holders.

From laugh-out-loud moments to unforgettable characters and stories that surprised, moved, and inspired us, these student-written plays proved that the future of theatre is bright. Yesterday, we took our final bow of the season for SOMETHING ROTTEN!. After weeks of tap-dancing eggs, prophetic soothsayers, Renaissance rivalries, and more Broadway references than anyone thought possible, our journey has come to an end.

To our incredible cast, creative team, crew, musicians, staff, ushers, and audiences: thank you for bringing this wildly funny, wonderfully ridiculous show to life. It's been a joy to share the laughs, music, and magic with all of you.
