Founded in 1974, the Lyric Stage Company of Boston is the city’s oldest professional theatre company, dedicated to producing theatrical art which expresses the range of possibilities that live theatre offers, reflects the different cultures of the Greater Boston area, and provides an intimate home to nurture the talents of Boston-area artists. The Lyric Stage presents seven productions each season to an annual audience of over 40,000, including over 2,000 Season Ticket Holders.

Lyric Stage favorites Aimee Doherty* (Hello Dolly!, Penelope, Thirst) and Paul Melendy* (A Sherlock Carol, The Drowsy Chaperone) will bring the dastardly Thenadiers to life in next spring’s production of Les Misérables.

They join previously announced cast members Christopher Chew* (A Sherlock Carol, Assassins), Kristian Espiritu* (Something Rotten!, Hello Dolly!, Assassins), and De’Lon Grant* (Our Town, Big River) as Inspector Javert, Fantine, and Jean Valjean, respectively.

Summer 1947. Joe Keller, a self-made businessman and respected pillar of the community, lives with his wife Kate in an idyllic neighborhood. It’s a good life even though their younger son, Larry, is still missing after the war. When their oldest son Chris announces his intention to marry Larry’s childhood sweetheart, deeply buried truths find their way to the surface, forcing the Keller’s — and their entire community — to reckon with themselves. Inspired by a true story, Arthur Miller’s classic drama explores how decisions result in untold consequences.
