Trinity Boston Connects

We work to heal the traumatic impact of systemic racism on youth of color in Boston. Its three programs work in tandem to accomplish its goals.
1.

Established in 2007 as a social justice arm of Trinity Church in the City of Boston, Trinity Boston Foundation works to improve the odds for Boston's underserved youth. Trinity Education for Excellence Program (TEEP) is an educational enrichment and leadership development program that guides young people from middle school to and through college.
2. Sole Train: Boston Runs Together embeds free, ch

aracter-building, non-competitive running and mentoring teams at nine Boston public schools.
3. Trinity Boston Counseling Center provides clinical services, therapeutic mentoring, support and consultation to young people and staff at schools, agencies and nonprofit organizations. Together, the programs engage more than 500 youth and families each year and have an indirect impact on thousands more.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas were finally liberated more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

For Black communities, Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, culture, joy, and resistance.

For those who are not Black, consider this day an opportunity to learn the full history of slavery in the United States and examine how that history is often softened, distorted, or omitted altogether.

If you have the day off, we encourage you to support Black-owned businesses and non-profits, attend local events, and engage with the stories and lived experiences of Black neighbors and community leaders.

There are SO MANY events and celebrations honoring Juneteenth this weekend - we have a few listed here but please mention any we missed in the comments. Check out for a comprehensive directory of the local, Black owned businesses you can support today and year-round.

What a night!! 💚 On June 4, over 300 civic, nonprofit, philanthropic, and business community members gathered for our 19th Annual Bostonians for Youth Gala. We were honored to recognize Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell and The 7uice Foundation, hear inspiring stories from TBC youth leaders Areesh and Khloe, and reflect on the impact of the caring communities all young people deserve and need to thrive.

Together, we've raised more than $333,000 toward our $350,000 goal - including over $50,000 during Fund-A-Need! We are truly grateful and humbled by the collective action we witnessed in the room. We’re also proud to share that Dan Ross has been elected Board Chair and Jeannette Fiala will serve as Clerk. Congratulations as well to Adrian Walker and Dennis Tyrell, PhD on beginning their second terms on the Board.
