BCC field trip to Mt. Auburn Cemetery on Saturday, October 17. Led by member Shehab Hossain. Join fellow photographers for a casual fall foliage walk through Mount Auburn Cemetery, one of the most beautiful spots in the area to catch peak color. Bring a tripod if you want to catch the ponds at their stillest, and pack a range of lenses, from wide for the landscapes to something longer for compressed shots through the trees. Since Mount Auburn is an active cemetery, we ask everyone to be mindful of visitors and any services taking place, and to check current visitor guidelines if you’re bringing extra gear like lighting equipment. Announcing our next BCC Members Photo Exhibit, at the The Clubhouse Gallery & Event Space, 517 Atwells Avenue, Providence, RI, from November 1 - December 30, 2026, with an Artists Reception on Sunday, December 6, from 1 - 3 pm. Showcasing the work of 55 current BCC members and 1 legacy member, this exhibition captures the diverse photographic interest of our membership, from abstract to architecture to landscape to portrait to photojournalism. We are looking forward to hosting Larry Volk on Tuesday, October 13 for his talk “From Screen to Print: Color Management and Printing Workflows”. In this workshop, Larry will review the fundamentals of a color-managed workflow, including:
• Color models
• Working with camera color spaces
• Displays, Display calibration and profiling
• Output profiles for printing from Lightroom and Photoshop
• Printing paper types and their characteristics
• Preparing files for printing labs.

Larry C. Volk is a Professor of Photography in the School of Visual and Performing Arts at Endicott College. His work has been shown in numerous exhibitions including: a solo exhibition at the Bromfield Gallery,(September, 2026), a 2-person exhibition, Driven, Endicott College, 2025, The Handmade Photobook Exhibition, The Griffin Museum of Photography, Wi******er Massachusetts (2025), Bromfield Artists at Gallery 37, Bromfield Gallery, Boston, Massachusetts (2024), 30th Annual Members Exhibition, The Griffin Museum of Photography, Wi******er Massachusetts (2024). He was a Critical Mass top 200 selection in 2024. The Photographic Society of America is hosting a free webinar open to all club members, the public, and friends. If you’ve ever wondered what PSA is all about, this is the perfect chance to jump in and enjoy a live learning experience.

Scott Wilson’s journey into PhotoAdvocacy began with a simple idea: that images can change outcomes for animals who have no voice. After a decade in the advocacy field, he is excited to share that journey with younger members of the Photographic Society of America - and explore how emerging photographers can turn what they care about into real-world impact.
