: A mother and son from North Andover. Two separate School the World trips. One shared impact.

After Brittni experienced a service trip herself, she encouraged her son Owen to step outside his comfort zone and see the world in a new way.

From fundraising with their community to building schools in Panama, Owen stepped into something unfamiliar and came back with new friendships, a new perspective, and a message he can’t stop sharing “This is life changing. You have to do this.”

What started as Brittni’s journey through a corporate trip became something bigger. A ripple effect of impact, connection, and a growing family legacy of service.

It’s Volunteer Week, and we’re celebrating the heart behind everything we do.

From classrooms to communities, our volunteers show up with open minds, willing hands, and a deep commitment to making education accessible for every child. Whether you’ve traveled, fundraised, advocated, or supported from afar throughout the years, you are part of this impact.

Because of you, more children have the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream bigger.

This week (and every week), we are so grateful for our incredible School the World community.

have a great weekend, from our community to you!

: We’ve recently delivered 5,904 books to 37 schools in Honduras, 4,749 books to 27 communities in Guatemala, and 4,070 books to 20 schools in Panama, putting high-quality books into the hands of 3,600+ students, many for the very first time.

Through our Classroom Library Program, we’re not just delivering books but building a culture of reading alongside families who believe in their children’s futures.

Some of the parents fundraising for their children's classroom libraries never had the chance to learn to read themselves. We match their commitment up to 5:1, turning their efforts into vibrant classroom libraries filled with stories that inspire.

With 184 teachers leading daily read-alouds, these books are becoming more than pages. They are sparking imagination, connection, and a lifelong love of learning.

to the moments that stay with you long after the trip ends.

Not only do our students remember building the school, mixing concrete, and painting walls, but the moments in between like the laughter shared at recess and the connections made with the community members.

There's still time to sign up for one of our summer service trips! Click the link in our bio for more information.

: From Guatemala to Panama, Anna’s journey with service learning keeps growing 🌎

A student at Needham High School, Anna G is a repeat traveler who continues to turn experience into impact. After first joining us in Guatemala in 2025, she recently returned from Kuerima, Panama this April with an even deeper perspective and purpose.

Have you traveled with us more than once? Tell us what changed for you the second time.

In a small classroom in Honduras, a young girl is redefining what it means to be a reader 📖

She was born with a condition that makes her fingers very small, making it nearly impossible to hold a book on her own. But she refuses to let that be the end of her story.

Each day, her father sits beside her, gently holding the pages as they read together. Page by page, she’s learning to read and showing her classmates what determination truly looks like.

Every child deserves the chance to discover the joy of reading.

: Liv Turning creativity into impact 🎨🌎

Giving back has always been part of Liv and her family’s story. After years of fundraising and even visiting Guatemala, she knew she wanted to return and make an impact of her own.

This time, she used her art to get there. Through raffles and custom pieces, Liv turned her creativity into a powerful fundraising tool.

After the trip, she created a painting inspired by a real moment during a home visit—a mother carrying her child, capturing strength, routine, and joy.

Pure joy in motion. This is what your support makes possible.

In the Philippines, children are running, laughing, playing, and stepping into a space built just for them. A playground isn’t just a place to play; it’s where confidence grows, friendships form, and a love for learning begins.
