Come with us to unpack money baggage and build a more stable financial future! ✨

In Launchpad—the first phase of Breaktime’s program—Associates spend three weeks establishing job readiness through professional development, personal growth, and financial literacy, all while earning a stipend. Our goal is to build financial literacy through open, supportive conversations about money.

One young activist raised $100 for Breaktime with a single lemonade stand! Now, we’re keeping the momentum going by launching our "Pour It Forward" campaign. 🍋

Our goal? Find 50 community members to match that original $100 stand by September 30th so we can turn one child’s inspiring act into a wave of real support.

Here’s how you can Pour It Forward:
• Match the Stand ($100): Be 1 of 50 people to match our young fundraiser’s $100 total.
• Pour a Glass ($10–$50): Every dollar directly powers our job training and housing stability programs.
• Stir Up Your Own Drive: Host a bake sale, wash cars, or turn your favorite summer activity into a mini-fundraiser for Breaktime.

Big or small, every act of support matters.

More nonprofits are making the move to Downtown Boston! 🏢

We are thrilled to be featured by Axios Boston alongside so many of our partners—and future neighbors—who have capitalized on the real estate market to deepen their community impact.

Securing a permanent, central home has allowed us to meet our Associates right where they are, expand our reach, and help even more young adults achieve stable housing and economic mobility.

Last week, Breaktime had the honor of hosting a delegation of senior officials from Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare.

During their visit, the delegation met with Breaktime CEO Connor Schoen and BAY-CASH Chair Matt Aronson to discuss innovative approaches to health and social services in the U.S. We were thrilled to share our missions with an international audience and build meaningful connections with global leaders transforming public health and social welfare systems.

After hearing about Breaktime from her partner, Dany decided to join Breaktime's Launchpad program to prepare for her next steps.

During Launchpad, she worked on improving her planning skills and stepped out of her comfort zone with public speaking (you may have seen her crush it on Boston Public Radio recently). Now, she is walking away with transferable skills that will empower her wherever she goes. 🚀

Have you ever tried getting hired without a mailing address, a state ID, or a bank account?

Saying young adults experiencing homelessness "just need to get a job" ignores the many systemic barriers that they have to overcome. Add in extreme summer heat and heat exhaustion, and survival becomes a full-time job in itself.

It’s not a lack of motivation. It’s a lack of accessible systems.
