The Beauty and the Wonder of the Dahlia.

There is something truly magical about dahlias. From the moment the first shoots emerge from the soil to the breathtaking blooms they become, every stage is a little wonder.

Their colors, shapes, patterns, and endless varieties never cease to amaze me. No two blooms are quite the same, and somehow, every season brings a new favorite.

Dahlias are more than flowers—they are a reminder of the beauty that comes from patience, dedication, and a little bit of dirt under your fingernails.

The beauty is in the bloom…
The wonder is in watching it unfold. 💖

Dahlia season is wrapping up and tubers are coming out of the ground! We know it’s impossible to choose just one... but what’s YOUR favorite dahlia color? 🌸 Can you pick a favorite? Tell us in the comments!

Dahlia Dividing 101!

Our October members’ topic focused on dividing dahlias! We brought clumps ready to be divided, snips in hand, eagerness to learn, and plenty of enthusiasm ✂️🌱. We shared so much knowledge, information, and experience as we learned from one another and explored the art of dividing dahlia tubers.

Nothing beats getting together with fellow dahlia lovers, sharing tips and tricks, asking questions, and learning something new!

What a fantastic October meeting filled with friendship, learning, and a shared love for dahlias! 💕🌸

A BIG thank you to Eugene Kenyon and Rosie Vert-Cooper!!
We are so grateful for the knowledge, enthusiasm and passion they brought to the 4th Annual Dahlia Show, sponsored by the Southwest Idaho Dahlia Society and hosted by JUMP Boise.
Eugene and Rosie have built quite an impressive dahlia business at River's WB Dahlias in Veneta, Oregon, where they grow and hybridize high-quality blooms for growers and dahlia enthusiasts. Their knowledge of dahlias — and their willingness to share it — made their presentation especially valuable and inspiring. 🌱🌸
Rosie also brings that same passion to the cut-flower industry, where dahlias are becoming increasingly popular. With new varieties offering longer vase life, dahlias are finding their way into more bouquets, arrangements and flower farms — and Rosie is right there helping lead the way. 💐
Thank you, Eugene and Rosie, for sharing your expertise, your enthusiasm and your love of dahlias with all of us. We were thrilled to have you as part of our show! 💜🌸

A special thanks to Michelle with Flowers by My Michelle (Nampa) for building this gorgeous bouquet of dahlias for our show in Saturday. It was the door prize and this is the lucky winner. She was so excited.🌸🩷🌸
We had so many compliments on the arrangement. The dahlias were grown by one of our members.
